A must-do fine dining restaurant. Fantastic customer service. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere. And the food was absolutely spectacular. The best meal we had on our entire holiday! Highly recommended and we will be back!

Was here last week and the food, service, ambience would be hard to beat anywhere. Mario ( Chef ) created stunning food, all of us uumming and oooing through each course.

A Wanaka Favourite, Bistro Gentile is guaranteed to deliver if you are looking for fine dining in Wanaka. Start with the beautiful location overlooking the golf-course and the lake move on to the super comfy luxurious semi-outdoor chairs which make you want to stay forever and of course the food is top notch. This week we took a relative and she was suitably impressed (having travelled to France on numerous occasions she rated the "Frenchness" as on the dot). We both enjoyed the Salmon starter as the winner on this occasion. Thanks for a wonderful night team!

This restaurant is normally crowded and has very good service staff! Food here is very very delicious and seeing the dished out presentations, you can tell the chef puts his heart in cooking and there's so much love in the taste! Place is very romantic and cozy, warm lightings and cozy decoration makes it a fantastic venue for couples & family! Thumbs up! Must go!

Stunning views of the lake, friendly service and incredible quality when it comes to the food. Very well executed French classics showcasing quality local produce. We enjoyed the most tender lamb and duck dishes we have had, ever. Drinks list covers local drops comprehensively, there is a bit of a strange self service wine-by-the-glass system which is great because it opens up the whole wine list to wine lovers for tastings but it's a bit disruptive with diners getting up constantly and walking across the small restaurant to use it. Like the sentiment though. Overall a one of a kind dining experience.

We tried several restaurants in town, this is really the BEST one! We had the 'Trust the Chef'.. wow!! The presentation was amazing, the taste, quality of the products, combinations, size of the portions. Every detail was taken care of. Great service as well.
