The location is central, 10 min walk to the wharf, back about 15 (because it is hilly). We have reserved a room with Queensize bed, which didn't mean for me it is not the shown nice room with Kingsize bed but a much smaller. Unfortunately, our room was very small, for two people much too small (see my images). There was neither a table nor a chair in the room, you could only sit on the bed. There was no cupboard or space for the clothing and to pack out our suitcase. The air conditioning was not functioning. Isolation is very poor, you could hear everything from the corridor and from the neighbors and the street, and in the night it was bit cold. It was not possible to close the door of the shower, therefore after taking a shower there was water everywhere. There was also some major issues with the equipment: the bin doesn't close, one of the handles on the window was missing and the air conditioning showed an error. After that it was clear, why we had to pay for all three nights at the arrival (although we confirmed the booking with credit card) We are a young couple and tried not to ruin our holiday, but it was the worst hotel we have visited yet, definitely not a 4*!

I give 2 starts for location and staff who are quite friendly. But honestly stayed there for 2 night and first night couldnt even sleep cause of bad the bed was, and on the second say i realized the conditions of them (yes i took the bed sheets out) Honestly u should do something. Given the location u could be one of the best ones, but guess just "selling" is enought.

Excellent location, renovated and clean. Good facilities provided. There was a bit of an issue checking in due to the credit card that was used to make the booking had been cancelled and was required despite ID and confirmation documents being provided. Issue was resolved however and the stay was pleasant.

Steak was good but the side dishes was just three thin slices of potatoes in a cheese sauce n salad was just 5 or 6 leaves of mescaline leaves. Great wedges n sour cream that I ordered.

Very friendly staff. Book early for the parking as they don't have many spaces available. Access to queen street is awesome. The meals are a bit small though if your a big eater.

We love it, it was very comfortable place, make sure you book your parking in advance, it is a bit difficult to park in that area. Driving skills are required lol

Good for single traveller. Small room but very clean and comfortable. Good location considering price. The standout for me was the staff - very friendly and very high standard of service from everybody regardless of time of day (or night..).

PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME STAYING AT THIS 'HOTEL'.
This is what we found during our stay:
1) Way OVERPRICED
2) there's no air con,
3) bad mattresses with broken springs,
4) no ventilation (unless you open windows & there was construction at the time),
5) horrible WIFI that keeps cutting out
6) Parking spots are very limited & min $25/night if you do find one
7) Housekeeping came to make the room without any notice, & there was no 'Do not disturb' sign provided
8) So called iPod dock is ancient
9) No space to put your luggage
10) Bad experience over all.

Will NEVER stay there again!

The bed I was in was dirty. The TV remote didn't work. The room was so hot, the windows didn't open much and the fan that was porvided was horrible. Worse then most hostel's I've stayed in, way to expensive. Also you get "free" internet but you only get 24 hours. So if your staying more than one day watch out for that.

convenient location, small rooms, clean enough. It has laundrette on the 6th floor you can use (3 dollars a wash, 3 a dry, 1 dollar for the soap). Point is: on the opposite street (crossing queen street) you have a hostel, cheaper. you only have to face a stiff slope up to reach it.

I think I had too high expectations for this place. Everything is just so standard here. The view is kind of bad - at least the direction we were facing - and the reception and dining area is very basic and clinical looking. The service was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Just a basic hotel experience.

Clean room. Nice bathroom. Parking at the hotel kind of sucks. We had to park in the lower level. As Americans struggling with having the steering wheel on the right, the steepness and tight corners were particularly problematic. The location was great though. Our bed was super soft and kind of hurt our backs. The buffet in the restaurant at dinner was Indian food, which I love but had already had the night before. There are so many great restaurants within walking distance.
