Thumbs up! We checked out three places to hire a bike for a day trip (rail trail) which were all disappointing and this guy at Altitude Bikes just know how to lead a business, explained everything well, gave tipps for additional trips, was exceptional friendly and fun. And the prices more than fair. Totally recommend!!

Arranged to meet Phil on Sunday when the shop was actually closed to get two bikes.

We arrived in Alexandra and called at the iSite.We asked the lady about Bike Hire for half day to cycle to Clyde and back. She called Altitude and arranged bikes for us at $25 Each.
On arrival at Altitude, the guy told us the charge was $30 each. He said we were quoted for children's bikes. As time was against us we paid up and went.
One of the bikes had a soft tyre and needed to be inflated several times.
When we took them back I mentioned again about the increased charge. He said that was the charge to cover cleaning as it was the same to clean a bike for full day as it was for half day.
And he also said the tyre had been inflated for a week prior to our hire with no problem.
He was very rude and uncompromising. Never again!
A better name for his business would be "Attitude Bikes,"response / report this review
