Such a dream ride! Couldn’t recommend more highly to anyone. I’ve been on a few riding treks, but this one takes the cake for sure! The horses are all beautiful and well looked after, the scenery is also stunning. I had done a little bit of riding before so they put me on a horse with a bit more pep, but I never once felt unsafe! Jo was a really knowledgeable instructor who guided our group amazing. Thanks guys!

What a wonderful family trek! As a horse owner and rider you cannot fault these lovely horses. Highly recommend to anyone from good riders to total beginners. You will have a safe and fun ride over stunning country. Rosie our guide was gorgeous too, and will entertain and look after you! It wasn't just a trek, it was an all round great experience. We fell in love with our horses. Want to take them home!! Many thanks. Xxxx

Really friendly staff taking you through some breathtaking scenery. Horses are calm as anything and never put a foot wrong during our trek. Would definitely recommend 👍

Awesome horse ride experience. This experience offers you great scenery with riding up the hill. Safe ride.
The staff is very friendly and funny as well as being very energetic. This experience has taught me how to even ride a horse.e

There was lots of very cute horses who live out on a huge paddock, which is so good to see! The owner really looks after them and the guide Rosie was lovely! The track just makes you feel like you're in the Wild West :)

An amazing experience that surpassed all our expectations. The horses are well cared for and very well trained. Rosie, our tour guide, was so down to earth, friendly, fun and had infectious personality. We did a few styles of riding (walk, trot, canter) even us beginners! The environment was very welcoming and comfortable. We highly recommend this horse trek if in Queenstown over any other!

That was the best horse back riding trip I ever done. You feel welcomed the second the door opens and everyone talks like you've been friends forever. I was on Knox and he was so well behaved. This was also my first time ever to trot and I felt so save with our guide Rosi. Can only highly recommend them.

Wow what a great experience. Our family thoroughly enjoyed Jo's great commentary and helpfulness. She was a brilliant leader who accommodated for everyones levels so we all got the most from the ride.
Thanks so much for a brilliant morning out.

We had a great time riding with Backcountry Saddles. Everything was set up and ready to go. The trail was fantastic and the horses very well trained (for the most part 😉). They give you great views and the 2 hours was a perfect amount of time. Don't know that my knees could have lasted any longer. Oh and they teach you to trot, I've never had that in a beginner trail ride before. Lots of fun?
