Featuring free WiFi, a restaurant and a sun terrace, Swastik Guest House offers accommodations in Bhaktapur, just 11.3 km from Kathmandu.
Some rooms have a sitting area for your convenience. Certain rooms include views of the mountains or city. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom. Extras include slippers and free toiletries.
Bike rental and car rental are available at this guest house and the area is popular for biking.
Tribhuvan Airport is 8 km from the property.
The only thing I can fault is I found the pillows uncomfortable. Apart from this our stay was very pleasant.
Expect to be looked after here, the host was amazingly accommodating and friendly. The location is close enough to one of the squares to walk for food but far enough away to make you feel like a local. I really enjoyed walking the streets to the squares. Also if you get a chance they made the best Lassi's we had on our Nepal/India trip.
Bishow is an amazing host. He kindly took our luggage for us en route to Nagarkot as we were hiking back the next day with back packs. He then made us tea and showed as a great hiking app to download, marking points of interest for along the way. When we arrived the next day, we had large rooms with en suite shower room. The beds had hard yet comfortable mattresses and hot water the first but unfortunately not the second night. Hot water is reliant on solar panel heating and is not limitless so in Nepal please shower for cleanliness and not comfort :) The roof terraces are a lovely place to sit and see the mountains. And the location was perfect for a short walk from the city in a quiet area. When we were due to leave, Bishow arranged for a taxi back to Katmandhu at a reasonable cost.

    This place is sooo good.
Situated in a quiet part of Bhaktapur it's the perfect base for exploring central, eastern and southern Nepal.
Bishwo, the owner, is extremely helpful with directions and advise.
A relaxed, friendly place - can't recommend it enough.
    Cheers Bishwo and Bijaya.
