Cheap but not great

I came to Kathmandu many times before and slept in a lot of Guesthouses. I was really happy when i finally found this place and continue coming back every year. Souvenir Guesthouse is a nice little retreat located in Thamel, but in one of the more quiet streets with only 3 to 5 minutes walk to the heart of Thamel. The owners are a lovely and always helpful couple. In the evenings Madan is ready for a game of carom or a little chat. The rooms are clean and there are different categories. I prefer to stay in one of the vip rooms, which are really nice and comfortable. But there are also basic rooms for the low budget traveler. Aiport pickup is also available.
Give this place a try, you won´t regret - Namaste!response / report this review -

Very poor service and no co-operation with the stayers. The food and rooms are not good too
