Mostly our holidays are peace and quiet, that's why we chose Sarang Wildlife Sanctuary. Accommodation, eatery, bar and the surroundings were fantastic. I can even say it was the combination of my previous holidays in Dhigu (Maldives) and Phuket (Thailand). Cleanliness, facilities and comfort were simply outstanding; all kind of modern comfy and still so close to the wilderness.
Though it was short stay at the resort, they organised to have a river and the elephant safari for our family. So many different types of species we could see along the riversides, especially distinct and migrated birds and crocodiles. The morning safari with elephants were even interesting. Rhinos and deers were everywhere. I am not very good at differentiating the types of animals or birds, but I can guarantee that you will not be able to see all these types of species at Sauraha as it has been crowded and commercialized much too far. I definitely would like to come back to this place again for bit longer as this trip was too short for everything. Evening typical Tharu dance was awesome as we had chance to show our “talent” too. Subodh dai (the owner of the resort) was there from the beginning to the end to look after and to make sure our trip was more smooth and enjoyable.
Meghauli Airport is just few steps away from the resort if you don’t want to travel on a four-wheeler.

We are having the best times of our life here. The place itself is next to the forest and feels like a part of the conservation. The set up is amazing, the staffs are friendly and the food was always good. I'll be coming here again and recommend it to others happily.

Tucked away from the main road near Chitwan National Park is Sarang, a lovely, wilderness-themed resort. Built amidst lush greenery, Sarang features log cabins that are spacious and comfortable. Behind the row of cabins is the jungle in all its majestic wildness; it is not uncommon for elephants and boars to be handing outside your cabin in the morning. The food served is homely and delicious, the service warm and friendly and the general ambiance a perfect balance between comfortable and raw.

    Was definitely a great experience!
I'm not used to leave reviews, but this lodge clearly deserves its 5 stars. For those who want to stay in a stunning and very quiet place, outside the bitten path, but at the edge of the park, it's the perfect place.
Food is really good, typically Nepali, staff can't be more welcoming, but also passionate about animals and jungle.
We did 3 activities: boat ride , jungle walk and elephant tour. Both were different and very interesting. we were a bit reluctant about the elephant tour as afraid to be a bit cheesy, but was the best experience, as animals are not afraid by it, hence you can get closer to animal and see many of them (rhino, deers by dozen, monkeys, etc)
Great location, at the border of the national park, a must !
    😊
