The Nepal's national apex body for the promotion, management and legalization of tourism industry in the country. This is the authority that gives legal permits to tourists that are willing to visit special place in the country like national parks, world heritage sites, cultural and religious places etc.
So far Nepal Tourism Board is doing good job, and it needed to be more independent, strategic and result oriented so as to further promote tourism industry of the country and attract many tourists.

I don't care so much of the tourism board itself, but at first floor there is an amazing ethnographical museum that absolutely worths to visit. 200 rs, you can see the exhibition of the most important ethnic groups in nepal. You cannot find any hint of this place, just go there and ask for it. If you are interested in nepalese culture don't miss the museum

Probably, the best office in Nepal!! Although Semi Governmental, provides top class services to the needful, and collects a lot of revenue for the government as well, albeit revenue is wasted by the government!
Number one and the one and only tourist service center of Nepal, fully catering to the needs of travellers and backpakers and tourists visiting Nepal.
You MUST pay a visit here, checkout all the artworks, collect souvenirs for less than a fourth of market price, HD wallpapers for home, enjoy a visit to traditional museum housed inside, gather information about trekking, mountaineering, collect travel passes, etc!!
A much deserved FIVE STARS!!
I have yet to find any office this dedicated in the entirety of Nepal!
Hands down, the best Office In Nepal!

There is information desk it opens at 10am.
Also you can sort your permits for trekking here and staff seems to be helpful.

But overall the place or information is not impressive. We needed info about tourist buses to Chitwan and they didn't really know that much.

I think that exactly what our guide books said so save yourself a journey and either Google or maybe as in your hotel as they seem to know usually more.

The place is good and looks nice but still few things missing. Proper cleaning as lots of people visit there and also staffs needs to behave more professionally rather than being like a government staff. The property is well maintained though.

Super busy, definitely get there early! Be there before they open at 9am! And make sure you have everything with you! Nice thing is, they do take free passport photos for you!

NTB provides all kind of tourist information and permits for trekking routes. Pemits for different routes and regions granted from here like Everest region, Annapurna Conservation Area etc. NTB is a helpdesk for Nepal visitors.

Very helpful and kind staff. They even issued TIMS card for future trekking. Loads of information and map available free of cost.
