If you are a strong Hindu believer, you wouldn’t miss the chance to visit Mahendra cave. The cave was named after Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev and has several stalactites and stalagmites along with a statue of Lord Shiva which attracts almost thousands of visitors every year.

Very crowded place inside a cave. You may skip it if you have any constraint. If you want adventure you may venture for entrance/exit other than designated one. We have made ourself out through a small slit and lots of fun in it. There is one temple inside the cave.

Mahendra cave is a an easy cave to walk through. Towards the end of the cave, there is a priest who chants some mantras for the well being of you and your family. It's a fun cave though as it's not crowded and you can easily do stuff. Anyone can go in this cave. Mahendra cave and bat cave are at a distance of around 500m. So, you can plan accordingly

One of the tourist attraction point in Pokhara. It is situated near Chamero cave. Nepali tourist has to pay Rs. 50 to enter the cave.
It has both entry and exit point. It is not easy to get out of exit point, so be careful while going towards exit.

It was a nice experience and the cave was well maintained, provided lights within. Definitely have a lot of area for improvement. The exterior part of the place was well maintained as well. The flowers added a beautiful touch to the cave. Overall, it was good.

This place is gorgeous. The cave is amazing. Entry of the cave is huge but exit is a small hole (though it was a bit adventorous). It was fun hanging out here.

It is wonderful cave, chill and interesting. Temple inside was very wonderful too. The exit was a tight spot but that's the fun.

It was a great day out. We walked up from lakeside which was an adventure in its self. It was great encountering the real Pokhara away from the tourist concentration zone. The caves although small by comparison to some that I have been in were enjoyable. Look for the second entrance of you want the Indiana Jones e CV experience. The caves rendered a refreshing cool from the heat of the day. Surrounding the cave is parkland where it would be good for a picnic.

Its a very ancient caveit has a temple of lord Ganesha, hindu god, son of lord Shiva who is the destroyer of obstacles in our lifes and also he bestows knowledge and intelligence. There were many minor outlets from the rocks inside the cave from which water used to drip and the cave floor used to be wet and slippery but it has dried up gradually now. And it is very easy to walk in now. There is also a small water source which is considered sacred right below the hindu deity's structure.

Pretty cool place to visit. Even better place to take a scooter or motorcycle ride to reach. Local bus is a difficult ride there, sweaty, crowded and very bumpy. Entrance is cool however we found it much cooler to go in through the exit ! : )

The cave is naturally formed and local community has made the passage safe for tourist and visitors to explore the cave till the end. A must place to visit when you are in pokhara

Nice cave and there are lights inside the cave which makes it easier to take a tour. However, there are no lights near the exit and have no written board or people to show the exit, due to which many tourists and visitors return from the entry gate withour knowing that there is a different exit.

Mahendra Cave has much to offer if well managed and maintained. Now the question of safety is also an issue irrespective of experience it gives.

Nice and wonderful experience to crawl inside the cave. Well you may need a guide to get and know the ways of the secret cave. But be sure you get the price of the guide in clear or he may ask for a heavy price. RS 1000 for 2 hours will be better for a group of two. additional Bat Cave can also be seen with some tips
