We stayed there for a month , and it’s definitely the best hotel in Thamel compared to what you pay

Had a great time at Khangsar, comfy rooms with bathroom, good Wi-Fi and a beautiful terrace. Helpful staff, they store your bags for free when you go to the mountains and can even book your flights. Good breakfast too.

We stayed for 3 nights in Khangsar Guest House. It was the best place we stayed during one month in Nepal.
The room was clean, modern, and spacious. Itt's newly renovated, so everything is quite new and clean.
The manager and the staff, they're all helpful and friendly.
Located inside Thamel, so you can find everything around you, including food, trekking gear, bakery, cafe, souvenir shops.
And it's only a few minutes walk outside the heart of Thamel where you can find authentic and cheap food. Exploring Thamel is always easy and fun to do when you know you stay in the right place ^_^

Affordable and centrally located hotel in Thamel. The owner Raj is an absolute delight and helped me book my Everest Base Camp trek. I would highly recommend staying here.

A nice place to stay, newly refurbished, The bed are super confortable. New bathroom with hot water. Staff is very nice. If you get a room at the back of the building, it will be really quiet. I have tried
Many places in thamel, this is is the best I have been and stayed there 5 days!

Awesome guest house stay, especially if you are budget travellers like me. More than affordable price for the quality of comfort you get here. Very clean and descent rooms. Super hospitable staff. They'll help you in all kinds of stuff. From bus/flight bookings to excursions bookings. An accommodation right in the heart of Kathmandu's tourist destination (Thamel) 🇳🇵 I recommend this place to all the travelers that wish not to spend too much of useless money on flashy hotels and instead enjoy the experience This is the place for you to go folks. 👍🏻👌🏻😉😄🤗

Met the owner, Raj, on the streets by chance when we was searching for a room in Kathmandu. He offered we could sit at his place and search on the net for accommodation as that's what we wanted to do. Not once did he insist that we stay at his own hotel. That says something about the man's good attitude!
After searching some more on the streets, I ended up at his hotel by serendipity. He offered us the best tariff we could get in the area for a room that had everything that we wanted - free WiFi, 24/7 hot water, clean and cosy rooms and toilet. Add to it, a very pleasant lobby area, which was more like a large living room of ones own home (yeah, I spent more time in the lobby than in my room discounting the sleeping hours); and a lovely rooftop garden where you can just have your own private chilled beer party of you want.
Above all, the staff was super amicable and made sure I had no complaints. Thanks to Sanjay, Saroj, and Milan! Good job guys!

Friendly stuff and good price, i also like the location. But wifi was poor and there was no hot water, only once for 5 days we were there. You can stay here if you don't mind street noice and old rooms.

Wonderful location , friendly people , strong shower and good Wi-Ficheap and really good value for money.
Two things i did not like there: the noise that comes from the street and the rooms sometimes not that clean!
