Being a public hospital, Kathmandu Medical College, is affordable to the general public. It is reflected on the large inflow of treatment seeking individuals. One of the drawbacks of this hospital is that it has somewhat congested infrastructure with no open spaces. With multiple stories buildings with no gardens and open spaces, patients admitted to this hospital and patient's companion may feel uncomfortable for a longer stay.

My sister was recently a inpatient few months ago in this hospital. I would just like to say that the staff at your hospital is wonderful! Everyone who was involved in my care - the doctors, nurses made my stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as any hospital stay can be!

I'm waiting outside the OT while I rate KMC hospital. This rating is soley based on the poor management system and poor hygiene and poor cleaniness of this hospital. The hospital should seriously think on these areas for improvement.

KATHMANDU MEDICAL COLLEGE AND TEACHING HOSPITAL provide affordable medicine to patients in a friendly environment and with a spirit of compassion. That the changes are on par with the government hospitals bears testimony of our community to providing high quality medical care for all sections of the society.
They have modern sophisticated equipment like bronchoscopes, ECHO, ECG, endoscopes, colposcope and 64 Slice CT Scanner for use in the hospital. They have fully equipped ICU, CCU, NICU and PICU. CAC and PAC services are also provided.
The daily outpatient attendance has exceeded eight hundred fifty during summer months and the patient admissions show a healthy increase every day. A patient is the doctor’s best guide and every students need to be a complete. Their aim in the coming years is to have patient flow on par with the decade’s old government run hospitals of the valley.response / report this review -

Very good, affordable and accessible for all hospital care. Has all sets of medical services found on full fledge hospital. It includes 24 hour emergency services, OPD and speciality clinics, Imaging services (MRI, CT Scan), inpatient services with 600+ beds and cabin facilities along with ICU and CCU services.
It has very good for Children care unit.
Also good for general physician and general OPD services. Dr. Subas Pant and Dr. Lucky Shrestha are highly recommended on General Physician services.

When I was suffering from swelling of Pyrotid Gland, I had gone to Civil hospital. Unfortunately, the tokens for ENT was finished that day. So I have bought the token of fever. The doctor transferred me to ENT there but I was unable to check up that day. The hospital won't check for ENT the day after that day. So I decided to go to KMC, one of the best hospital of Nepal. I have checked there within 15 minutes of waiting. No doubt, I five 5 star rating

Nice medical college and teaching hospital at affordable price. Facility of neurosurgery is appreciable. But too congested/ crowded especially the emergency room! If only something could be done!
