The time I spent there was on their beach, which was nice and clean, I can see that effort has been put in to keeping it clean. I like that they've set up other activities as well, for example two volleyball nets

Good cabins and nice surroundings. Cabins do lack small maintenance (leaking shower hose, missing parts in fridge etc) and information is outdated (or just plain wrong).

I've stayed at better Camping sites in Norway before, but Åros despite its close distance to Kristiansand City and Kristiansand Zoo really captures families with smaller children with its heated pool and play site by the beach. If I would complain; I'd ask for an upgrade of toilet facilities and showers, but that is bits and pieces in regard of its placement in one of our finest shores in Norway. Åros Camping is a great site! We even got a discount just mentioning how we liked the facility.
