The best place that I visited in Norway. Did a lot of research before going and probably going to return again one day. The hike is long and tiresome for the unexperienced, but well worth it with enough preparation or accompanied by a guide.
It was the experience of a lifetime to stay ontop of the mountain and camp over night. Seeing the sunset and sunrise from the top was worth carrying the extra gear and food up there. And we basically had the place to ourselves for quite a few hours with the other campers who were very friendly.
Long hike but totally worth it. The view on the way there is beyond spectacular and the view from the Trolltunga is something that cannot be described. We totally under estimated the hike and landed up struggling on our way back. You don't need to carry a full bottle of water because there are many many places the water is drinkable. But you do need to carry energy bars. Cuz you will need them.
One of the most breathtaking view I've ever see in my life. The track is very easy for all! But too many people :D
Long grueling hike but well worth it to get to Trolltunga. We did a guided hike and it was a good 10 hour day. The most difficult part of the route is the beginning where it is a very steep hike but after that you mostly encounter what the Norwegians call "hills." Coming from Louisiana it was still difficult because you are on a timeline to finish but the view at Trolltunga is spectacular. Still one of the best views I've ever witnessed
We were first time hikers and it took us 5-6hrs to reach to the rock! Difficult and long terrain especially with 4 seasons in one day! However, by far the best experience with nature we have had! Be well prepared and enjoy!
