Incredible views to the fiord. Kind service. Skip restaurant. They provide kayak and other activities.
This is an excellent old style hotel in an amazingly beautiful setting that has been recast as a hub for the active traveler. The adventure and activity vendor, B-Active, is integrated into hotel operations, and this is why we selected this hotel for our Norway in a Nutshell stay in Ulvik. With the hotel's B-Active staff, we enjoyed a guided fjord kayaking trip, a swim in the fjord, and bicycle riding throughout Ulvik. The Norwegian dinner buffet was superior, the best of our Scandinavian adventure. The room was very clean and comfortable, with an unsurpassed view. Hotel staff, particularly Anna from Turin, greeted us with a warm welcome, like an old friend bringing us home and she provided superior service. B-Active's Christophe from Belgium was a knowledgeable and friendly adventure guide. Erin from Brisbane was also very friendly and helpful. An excellent hotel staff all around. This hotel also provided us with a welcome relief from the tour bus crowds we experienced at other Scandinavian hotels.
Amazing hotel with very friendly staff . Five stars for sure
The strand fjord hotel is a must stay especially if you want to be part of the active group and enjoy the norwegian countryside.
Users of the hotel can get either a 2hr bicycle ride or a 1hr kayak.
The rooms were dated but well maintained. However Given the location and the views of the fjord and the serenity of the place , the downsides of the room can easily be ignored.
Definitely recommend to anyone to stay. Great views from the hotel , small but thoughtful breakfast options and a perfect place to be fit and enjoy the countryside
Ļoti patīkams personāls, izpalīdzīgs, laipns! Ērta atrašanās vieta, super skats aiz loga - fjordu ieskauta jūra!
Excellent views from hotel's deck. Early morning and evening turns the lake in a mirror. I call it a "mirror Lake " reflecting the snow peaked mountains. Sunrise is even better.
Old building but clean rooms and friendly staff. Each room has a balcony or terrace with a great view. No elevator for upper floors. Shower floods the whole bathroom, but that seems to be a known error, although the bathrooms seem to be modernized. Breakfast buffet included. Good value, recommended!
So nice especially the view
So far the most beautiful place in the world I have visited(Norway is my 41st country)
