Good rooms. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
It's one of the older scandic hotels I think. But the room was nice, wifi and television worked well. And the breakfast was very delicious with a lot you could choose from.
Good food. Nice staff. Good amenities. Beautiful views close to shops.
Have participated at different events at Scandic Kristiansund, and am always amazed at the professional attitude and service level received. The food is amazing, and the view from the skybar is out of this world.
On 3rd June I stayed here for one night with my family. I was the awesome experience and I liked this hotel very much. The staffs especially the Reception gye Mohammad gave us the good service. He connected the Internet very well and gave me. The chef from Srilanka was also very good. I enjoyed the breakfast the most with the variety of breads, cheese, juices, fish, smoothies, omletts and son. I appreciate the chefs for that. I cannot forget this hotel ever in my life. If any of my friends or relatives are going to Norway, I am sure to recommend Scandic hotel for its quality, standard and hygiene.
Could have been a better service or offers in the Bar. The toilets looked old and dirty
Great hotelfantastic location on the waterfront and the breakfast buffet is awesome
Friendly staff, beautiful high level balcony, reasonably priced draft beer (for Norway) decor ever so sightly outdated but it's just character to the place. Comfy beds, great views!
We stayed at Scandic in Kristiansund for 1 night in August 2016. We took the bus in from the airport and the bus only took like 15-20 minutes and it stopped just a few minutes from the hotel lobby. Check in was fast and we got room 610. Our room was bigger than usual – I guess we got an executive room. The room had a bed, a large sofa (that I think maybe could be turned into a bed, a desk with a couple of chairs and a TV mounted on the wall. The bed provided at comfortable night sleep although it did get a bit warm in the room as there seem to be no aircon. There was a water boiler for making tea/coffee and a small fridge that was empty. To buy some drinks and snacks you had to go to the reception. There was no safe in the room but I was surprised to see that there was a tiny ironing board mounted on the wall together with an iron. If we wanted to have a real ironing board we had to go to the area right outside the elevator where an ironing board had been setup. Not the best placement in my opinion.
The bathroom was a bit dark but it was tiled with white tiles. There was a bathtub with a shower options and amenities included dispensers with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The internet requires registration with phone number if I’m not mistaken but it worked out pretty good.
Breakfast was pretty good with a good selection of typical Norwegian breakfast buffet options such as bread, boiled and dried egg, cereal, various spread, fruit etc. They even had oats which was excellent as I usually have this for breakfast. The location of the hotel was pretty good – we just walked over to a restaurant at night so there are stores and restaurants nearby.
All in all a decent hotel for a night. The hotel room was looking a bit tired and the bathroom was a bit dark. I would not mind staying there again but I will probably look for another option if I go to Kristiansund again.
Very nice hotel, easy to locate. A bit expencive but the food is worth it :)
