Great hotel for families with small children. There is a special buffet for the children taking their sensitive sense of taste seriously. The play room is the best I've seen in any hotel. Location very close to the zoo tops it all off. If you're traveling without children, however, you might want seek out a quieter place.

The only thing this hotel has got going for it, is the location near the park. This may have been a nice hotel decades ago, but the rooms are in terrible condition and very run down (only the bathroom seemed to have been fixed up this century). There is no central air, and the room had a portable AC unit that was so loud you could not sleep. The extra beds for kids was a wall mounted shelf bunk bed, that was just downright dangerous. Since we had a larger room there was a couch bed, which was not much betterr, and you could feel the metal springs through the terrible mattress. The dinner buffet was overpriced and nothing to mention (decided to not eat) and the included breakfast was just OK. I can not recommend this place to anyone. We've stayed at Abra Havn twice, and this is a MUCH better place to stay. Not coming back here, ever.

Nice hotel, perfect for when you're spending 2 days at the park. Good breakfast and dinner. Of course the clientele are other families with (often many) children, so it's not the most relaxed of venues.

A deal on their flyer, nobody at the hotel had ever heard of and wouldn't even help out with when I showed them the flyer.

The dinner was expensive and in small portions which I suppose is to be expected from a hotel.

The breakfast is dried out stuff from the day before part from the bread and hot food, but the hot food wasn't good. The chef came out on the second day while I was eating breakfast to grab stuff from all the salad and fruit bowls with his hands to make lunches or whatever into plastic boxes.

The room was small but comfortable, part from you being able to hear everything next door and in the hall. The old TV had few channels and not all were tuned.

If you have zoo plans with kids, then go for it. If not I can't recommend this place.

My wife and I stayed at Scandic Hotel for one night with our daughter for a conference. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. There was a very nice playground which our daughter enjoyed. It is a 3 minute drive from a large shopping mall. All the meals were buffets with a good selection. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly recommend it to anyone who is traveling with children.

Was at a conference. Good meeting facilities. Really nice view, and delicious servings - both during lunch break and coffee breaks.
