Severely overpriced location, at $1,098.20 USD per night, with lame and inexperienced tour staff. Better find a local hotel near Troms and explore yourself.
We were promised 2 activities from the brochure. The owners offered none citing weather (clear skies, a slight beeze, and high of 25 degF). Instead we spent the first day on a 3 hour trip to a lame island walk with a rookie who was new to the area. Elisabeth nor Leah made an appearance.
No mistaking Olderdalen is beautiful. This facility is misleading and not worth the cost. Ask questions and read the brochure carefully before coming.
Great place! Personal service, great food, high standard. Socializing with the other guests is encouraged by the staff - all in all a very special experience.
Awesome place
Fantastisk plass, deilig mat, nydelig atmosfære og hyggelig betjening! Full pott fra meg, vel fortjent!!
It’s an absolute pleasure to write a review about my stay at Lyngen Lodge.
I found the Lodge in the book „Remote Hotels“ published by National Geographic. I was looking for a getaway in Scandinavia for quite some time and the Lodge seemed like a perfect combination between relaxation and adventure.
My expectations got more than fulfilled.
I stayed four days at Graham’s Lodge. The communication beforehand with Maria has been lovely and professional at all times. She advised me on my stay in Tromso, arranged the transfer to the lodge, provided a list of equipment I should bring with me,..
Once picked up at my hotel in Tromso the shuttle bus drove us to the Lodge where we checked in and got spoiled with a fantastic first dinner.
The whole atmosphere at the Lodge is really personal and intimate. You get introduced to the whole staff including your groups personal host and chef for the stay. In general all staff members are professional, skilled, friendly and welcoming.
The quality and selection of food is astonishing and creative. The kitchen of the lodge uses mainly local ingredients which I found incredibly delicious and interesting to taste.
The lodge in general is clean and modern and beautifully located within the Lyngen Laps. The furniture is stylish yet comfortable and useful. The rooms are well equipped (floor heating, rain shower) and cozy.
I personally highly recommend all activities such as dog sledding, snow mobile cruising and frozen lake fishing as well as the sea safari. All tours are guided by native Norwegians which connects you even more with the country and people there.
There's really nothing to criticize about my stay at Lyngen Lodge. I've never been more happy to review a hotel I stayed in and I therefore warmly recommend to stay at Lyngen Lodge yourself!
Nice location. Did not stay here but stopped by for a glass of wine. Young Nordic staff.
Outstanding hotel/lodge. Small family run, fantastic service and people. Amazing care taken off you, great activities. Great food and superbly clean, late jacuzzi and sauna available at all times. No shops in the area everything you need is there.
