We stayed here with our extended family in October 2015 on a search for the Golberg ancestors' home in Gol. It is a lovey post and beam chalet with a sod roof. It looks brand new; 2 modern European bathrooms and large eat in kitchen. Beautiful light wood paneling throughout the home, and wood floors. Modern windows that opened without screens to the gentle breezes or close easily to the chill. Radiant heating in floors provided warm feet and heated the home. The panoramic hill, mountain and lake views from the porch were incredible! Plenty of great places to hike. We would say be prepared for about a 15 minute drive up some unpaved terrain once off the main road of 52. It might be wise to ask the owner to take you to the home the first time, as it was hard to find on GPS or maps! He did lead us, and then all was well. The house and kitchen were well stocked, and the fridge and freezer (except ice trays) accommodated all the needs of our large 8 member group. Shopping in downtown Gol.only a few minutes drive, provided all of our groceries and libations. Truly a hidden gem, and we hope to return. Thank you for a lovely visit!
