Good place to visit. You can see glass being made and you might even get to have a go.
There is also a selection of shops and cafes.
This is like a small village, lots of shops seiling arts, glass, textiles. You can eat inside or outside. Playpark for children, even an old train just for fun. Conserts in summer. Love it. :)
Huge factory outlet for all things glass, crystal and porcelain (and quite a bit more). There's a decent restaurant on the premises, am art gallery and a playground. Can get quite busy during peak days, to the point where parking can be a problem.
A very nice place to visit during all seasons, but my favourite is right before Christmas. Then it has something magical
Well worth a visit, there is a place for visitors to sit in gallery style seating to watch the glass blowers at work.
Beautiful location. Glass making by hand demonstration are great. Can blow your own glass. Shopping centres are well stocked with a good selection.
Nice place to visit to see glass being made
Must see if in the area. Glass blowers and nice kitchen and glass to buy.
We felt honoured to walk straight from the exhibition space to the factory floor and witness the many craftsmen working in synchronised teams to creating amazing glass items. There was fire and steam, strength and delicacy, ancient methods and modern tools. It was a (free) window into the skilled handwork that goes into this company's products.
After the amazing (free) workshop viewing, it feels churlish to complain about anything, but the exhibition space could have been better used to explain the glass manufacturing processes more. Also we have been spoiled by other museums in Norway who provide a lot more English translations than was done here. A new (glass!) extension is being added, maybe the exhibition is in the process of being improved?
There are also many shops on the site including a factory discount outlet, a Waffle House and a Bakery where I had the nicest cinnamon & almond bun, yum!
