Great location right near the the main bus and train station. Great price for Norway, the room was warm and comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again.

Simple, clean rooms, a bit robotic checking in and out. Great value. Loved the kitchen /lounge at the front of the hotel.

I'm going to address some of the comments from the other reviews:

Check in: Yes, you check in via computer and there is no regular desk, though there is a person who sits in an office off to the side just in case. That is just what they do here. It works fine. I had no trouble figuring out how to work the kiosk.

Breakfast: There is no breakfast. I would not go so far as to say that there is a kitchen. There is a vending machine for coffee and some junk food. There are paper cups, plastic forks/knives/spoons, and small plates. There is a grocery store across the street, where you can buy stuff for breakfast. It would be really helpful if there were also bowls - I ate cereal out of a paper cup and saw some people eating soup out of cups as well. There is a water kettle. There are chairs and places to sit. There is a refridgerator.

Showers: Indeed, if there is a way to shower without getting water on the floor, it is beyond me. This appears to be a design feature. There is a 0.5 cm indentation in the floor where the shower is. This is supposed to keep water from splashing out? I think it is not going to work, ever.

Room size: Some comments said the rooms were small. I had pictured barely enough room to fit the bed. There is adequate room. It isn't huge. It's adequate.

Overall, I think this is a nice place and I would stay here again. Some places said this was basically a hostel. I am not sure if those people have ever stayed in a hostel before, but given private rooms with regular house keeping and new, pretty furniture and rugs and paint, this is a fairly standard hotel, only with automatic check in.

Less than a 10 min walk from the centre and even closer to the rail and bus stations. Citybox calls itself a hotel, but it feels a lot more like a hostel which we didn't mind. It's very modern and check-in is a very slick self-service process. You can request for assistance if you need it. There are only two terminals, so there's always a chance to be stuck in a queue for a little while.
There's a common kitchen with only a sink, fridge (no freezer), microwave (no oven), and coffee and vending machines. If want some groceries, there's a supermarket (fairly large) just across the street from Citybox.
The room, though very modern and clean, was really small. No fridge and no drawers or closets. Just a coat hanger (also small). The en-suite was also modern and very clean, but you get only two bathroom towels. No floor towel for the shower and no small towels. Our shower cubicle unfortunately was not properly sealed on floor level, meaning that it got quite wet outside of it on the floor. We had to use one of our own towels to dry the floor when we were done. Beds provided a comfortable, good night's sleep. There's storage for luggage, but it's also self-service and I could not see any obvious signs of security.
Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who only needs a room that's very conveniently located and very clean, but does not expect anything else you would from a hostel.

The hotel was just renovated and everything is new modern and clean. Location in the center of Bergen. Room is nice and comfortable and shower and toilets wide and new. Check in and out are totally automatic. after payment you get a key card and can enter the hotel and your room. Reasonable price compare to other options.

A bit more run down compared to city box Oslo. Basic but clean and tidy with everything you need, close to train station. Bathroom is a wet room

Room was ok for 2 people. The reception desk is not 24hrs like the Oslo citybox. It was a lot less clean than the Oslo one as well. You could hear the noise from the floor upstairs. Just regular noise like people walking back and forth and closing of doors. It is close to the Bergen train station.

A very different experience from the Citybox in Oslo. This one is smaller, bt the real problem was it was not a quiet hotel, construction is going on to expand it but they do not warn you of this beforehand - not all of us like to wake up at 7 AM on a vacation. Also the bathrooms could be cleaner, the shower separated with a glass panel, not only with a shower curtain from the rest of the bathroom. And I do understand the concept, but a shower mat would have been nice.

Comfy and warm. Two showers on my floor for 6 rooms. I didn't run into any problems though. I was a little worried about the automated check-in, but it worked fine, even with a US credit card.
