Great place for food and drink. Good quality food with more than ample portions. Nothing too adventurous on the menu but good quality. Seating inside and out. Nice to sit outside with a view of the river. Suitable for large groups or couples. Staff are friendly and efficient. There is also a friendly who likes to interact with the customers, his name is Felix. Outside area has heaters for the cold nights. Great experience all around, will come again when in Amsterdam.

Great location near the heart of Amsterdam. The quality of the atmosphere and the taste of the food are both excellent. Pick here if you want to be nice to yourself.

Steep prices, good location, friendly staff who spoke English and a cute cat asleep in a chair outside :)

It is located near the water, with a large and heated outdoor seating. However, the prices are quite steep. You pay 25 euros or more for what is essentially pub grub. We all ordered the rumpsteak cooked differently, but they were all well done.

Went here for a family meal, good size portions, you won't leave hungry! Veggie burgers were really nice (double patty too), kids loved the chicken nuggets and chips. Staff were very friendly and attentive, we had a table on the first floor, which was nicely decorated inside.

This place serves beautiful food and excellent service. Had waited along time to return here, 6 months and it was just as good the second time around! Highly recommended for great food.

Delicious food! Very large portions. Waitress really helpful and owner greeted each table and enquired if all was ok. Would definately recommend!

Could not fault the place, perfect for a casual meal. Ate here 3 nights in a row as the food was great and done the job. One of the best Veggies burgers i have ever tasted, and my friend was also impressed with the size and quality of the chicken burger. Yes the price is a little higher than what you would expect in the UK, but you would probably struggle to find food of the same quality at a cheaper price anywhere in Amsterdam centre.

Had late lunch here on our last day in Amsterdam and wished we'd come here earlier. Staff were very pleasant and so helpful. Food was lovely. Sitting outside when the weather changed and the waiter came running out and helped us move under the awning before the rain started.
A little pricey but as is much of Amsterdam and worth the extra Euro's. Will definitely visit The Grasshopper again when we return.

The steak was delicious! A tad under done but the flavor made up for it. I loved the random cat the kept popping up. It was quite friendly and the service was good too

Menu doesn't have much for dinner on he 3rd floor. But the dish I had was pretty good. Baked potato was really good.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat and left full after having a chunky burger. Decent food. Nice views up the top to pass the time.

The Grasshopper is a nice place to eat. It's dark wood and nice layout, make it a cozy place for a drink and some food. We had the veggie burger which was amazingly good. Drinks were well made and the service was excellent. The upstairs seemed to be pretty loud and busy so we opted to sit in the downstairs area. Lots of seating and good family atmosphere.
