Such a nice zoo! It's a bit old but very well maintained. Lots of animals, a few playgrounds (including an indoor one) and a few places to buy food and snacks. There is also a large and impressive Aquarium. Entry prices are very reasonable for what you get. You can also rent a stroller to drive your kid around, just 2,50 euro. Highly recommend place, especially if you have kids

Very beautiful zoo in it's setup and the way the animals are placed. Big play area for the kids. A zoo you can easily spend a full day and still have not seen all.

Such a memorable experience! Honestly I didn't expect so big and well/interesting organised Zoo with so many different animals and attractions.

We went on a rain day because we couldn't find anything else to do whilst waiting for out ferry.. and by God was it a good choice!, The park is so well kept and the animals were very easy to see yet still had the option to hide they choose too, you can get so close to the nature and the cafe in the middle is lovely and set up there is soft play for kids and shops everywhere he oceanarium is quiet a trek so not fab in the rain but like I say we didn't mind,. There is a land train that takes you if you want from zoo to oceanarium. Very good price for what you've got and very interactive lots of animals and there was work being done when we went

Biggest Zoo in Europe. Takes more then half a day to visit all. Look for feeding times and bird demo flight. Big aquarium and playground for children. Also indoor playground. Good restaurants with quality food.

The zoo is amazing and beautiful! We enjoyed it very much. Although, I wish that there were an English version of the information of the animals. I really wanted to know what type of animals am I looking at. But sadly couldn't.

A zoo is always a mixture of feelings for me. Stunning animals captured versus the opportunity to see them. Blijdorp makes sure they teach you about the animal, it's natural environment and the supporting programs like natural habitat conservation or rehabilitate​ animals to the wild. Although this zoo is 160 years old it is pretty modern

Nice zoo. Recommend the giraffes, Oceanium. Couldn't find the bats last time I visited, those I like as well. They also have a bird show, quite fun! You cannot leave or enter during the show. That's not really a problem as it maybe lasts 15-20 min.

One of the nicest zoos I have ever visited. It houses a very wide gamut of species from all over the world. The Oceanium offers a spectacular underwater view due to its glass tunnel. The park is well laid out without any really 'caged' animals. Furthermore it is clean, well maintained and easy to reach by public transport and by car.

Absolutely one the better zoo's around. Nearly all animals have been moved too more spacious modern quarters. Informative and very child friendly.

It's big, you can easily spend a whole day here. Most cages are modern. It has a giant aquarium with underwater tunnels. Bring your own lunch.

Well. Zoo's (AKA Animal Prisons) serve a purpose in educating us and our kids. There's a whole politic about that topic beyond the needs here. Go: Gorilla, Giraffes and Aquarium. Tip: Don't piss of the Gorilla, he got out once already and did a King Kong with some woman who allegedly showed too much of a toothy smile for his liking. (She was fine) Handy to public transportation. Don't expect Jurassic Park or Jungle Kingdom, it's a zoo.

A large collection of animals, but all seem to have plenty of space and the option of privacy if they need it. Lovely architecture. And very possible to spend a whole day to see everything or do a shorter round for a few hours.
