One week before our arrival, the hotel informed us that they have cancelled the last two days of our reservation due to the fact that they decided to accept a large group - the hotel's attitude to the whole situation shocked us, but after a few days of emailing back and forth, we managed to negotiate some means of compensation, though it wasn't easy. The hotel rooms are quite small, but they are well-equiped and clean. Breakfasts are great, the variety of food offered in the breakfast buffet is very broad and everyone can choose what they like. If you have dinner at the hotel, you should ecpect to spend more than 90 minutes at the restaurant - the dinner is very slow. The food is quite good. The hotel offers bike rental (€10 per bike per day, €20 for an ebike), there is a nice swimming pool and sauna, the hotel also has its own tennis court. The hotel's location is very convenient for bike trips to Veluwe or surrounding cities - Doesburgh, Dieren, If I ignore the reservation cancellation situation and the negotioations that took place before our arrival, I'd say the hotel is quite decent and offers nice accomodations, though I am not sure whether we will come back.

Avegoor is an old estate transferred into a Fletcher hotel, situated near national park the Veluwe.
Attached to the old main building is a new wing containing most of the rooms.
The central kitchen and bar are clean. Limited choice of beers and liquor at the bar.
The standard rooms are spatious with a flatscreen tv, central heating, electric kettle, extra pillows and only the most basic (ikea) furniture. Sadly, interior decorating is not a Fletcher strongpoint. The multi-color carpeting (copied on 1 of the walls) looks like a clown got runover by a freight train. The rooms and the rest of the hotel lack atmosphere and cosiness. In that sense, the picture of the main building promise more than it delivers. Mid level to above midlevel prices for a slightly sub midlevel experience.response / report this review -

Location nice, but gives the impression you stay in a historic estate building while instead you stay in an outdated characterless building next door

The art theme is amazing, i love that every room is different. The village is lovely for cyclists because of all the nature.
