I have been here for a wedding reception and it was really beautiful and one of the best locations for a wedding event or gala. The service was splendid!

Vlakbij treinstation Brummen, net buiten de bebouwde kom gelegen aan het eind van zijn eigen landgoed. Prachtig onderhouden kasteel (meer een hele grote herenhuis), met de koetshuizen als onderkomen. Ruim, schoon, goede bedden en ruime badkamer. Gelegen aan een golfbaan en genoeg ruimte om te wandelen. Zelf daar geweest voor zaken. Ruime en mooie slaapkamers. Ook ruime ruimtes die geschikt zijn voor grotere gezelschappen met aanwezige materialen voor prestaties. Zelf met 20 man daar gezeten Vriendelijk personeel, gastvrij en ook op locatie van de 4 gangen diner, uitgebreide ontbijt(buffet) en lunch(buffet) gebruik gemaakt. Het eten was uitstekend. Al met al een zeer plezierige verblijf en aan te raden.

A really lovely old castle/manor house. Our suite was in the orangery building, very spacious, with its own terrace. The garden/park looks wonderful during early hours. Unfortunately the decor looks really dated. Our bathroom had a frieze with elephants and zebras - kind out of place in the Netherlands, right? The owner is somehow connected to South Africa, but do the guests have to have a safari experience in their bathrooms?
The salon in the castle looked really bad, maintenance seems to be a problem. The restaurant is good, wines (all South African) great. During breakfast, a waiter was re-filling the cutlery drawers of a sideboard (very noisy). Is this necessary?response / report this review -
