We stopped over here for lunch. The food (from ciabattas to a cheese plate) was good and the service was polite and helpful. We had an enjoyable time.

The rooms are completely outdated and kill the atmosphere of the castle. We stayed in the superior room which had ugly furniture of the 70s. Toilet kept running, shower not functioning properly, toiletry amenities were already used, power plugs not working. Besides this, the people at the reception and phone where very rude.

We spent a birthday weekend there and had an excellent time. we took a standard room which was clean and tidy, (room #1). our main event was dinner in the restaurant and took the 4 course Tasters menu with wine accompaniment. it was very good except when it cane to the red meat course, we found it tasteless. we sent it back and the staff exchanged the 2 dishes without a problem. the replacement dis was delicious as were all the wines that were chosen by the sommelier. all the staff were friendly and efficient. we took our bikes and toured around the area. It was a great romantic weekend and we would recommend it to anyone.

Staff was very helpful, bed was good but the room. I was pretty small, even for the discounted price I paid.
Would I stay here again? When I only need a place to sleep for this price YES, for longer stay, romantic getaway or for the full rate, absolutely not.

Truly unique location! How often do you get an opportunity to stay in a castle?

The rooms have been remodeled and are now very plain. We would have loved to see them in medieval style, but with plaster walls and cheap furniture, there's no character left.

Breakfast in the restaurant is very nice, and very elaborate. Wonderful.
