Very nice hotel, very friendly personnel and beautiful and interesting breakfast space.
Good food, but very busy so took awhile for our orders
Very good service and nice rooms!
Beautiful basement and great service at the restaurant
The toilet was very beautiful, and it was nice that it was free. I was just a guest for toilet visiting, and normally it's quite hard to find a publicly accessible toilet in Maastricht.
The intimate square is attractive even on a bleak February day, the restaurant offers fine dishes, the waitress was very nice and so were the receptionists.
One negative point, concerning disabled guests: on request we got a nice room just opposite the elevator, but the hotel entrance is not suitable for entering with a weelschair or rollator (it could be, but the road is blocked with plants and tables and chairs; the receptionist would only believe it as I pointed it out, but I do not have the impression he is going to change it.). Also the door itself is very heavy to open.
About the resturant specifically because its open to the public: Great kitchen and bar, highly recommened for lunch.
Friendly staff. high standard yet informal.
Roman excavations in basement restaurant: unique dining experience between Roman temple remains. Value for money.
Situated in the heart of the old city, the Derlon Hotel offers guests a comfortable stay within walking distance of the many sights and shops in Maastricht. Although the hotel has a long history (it has Roman remains in the basement), the interior is modern and sleek.
As is to be expected of an old building, the rooms are somewhat smallish but certainly not cramped. Rooms are fully equipped and free WiFi is offered everywhere in the hotel.
Staff are courteous and professional, service is prompt.
