great place to stay friendly , clean , and great breakfast

Great Location. Klaus and Mike are great hosts. The breakfast is amazing. Small hotel with great service. I learned I was one of the last guests before they close Nov 1 to mid January for total renovation. All the rooms and bathrooms will be new when they open in January 2018. I was happy with my room. As most places in downtown in Europe cities, the rooms are not big. It was perfect for me. You only sleep there and not spending the whole day in the room. I look forward to going back after the renovation. Breakfast is home cooked meal and they offer it until 1 pm. Perfect if you go out late and sleep in you still get an amazing Dutch breakfast.

DO NOT BOOK or stay at this hotel, it is a fire trap. My wife and I spent one night in this wretched place, no elevator, no staff in the evening, no sprinkler systems, no signs or any method of exit in the dark.
It is not worth your life to stay at an establishment like this that charges over US$100 a night.

Actually a really nice place and especially the owner is very friendly. The joint breakfast is a great pleasure. However given the old and cheap furniture, carpet and tiny rooms, the rates are way too​ expensive. Paid ~170€ for a 10sqm double which is way too much. Actual value including breakfast for 2 is 100, even in Amsterdam. Will come back in case if better rates or really modernized rooms.

We're staying again at this quaint little hotel. Now it's not a Four Seasons, but it does fine considering the exchange rate. Plus it's near all the action.
