  Returned second time this year to this great little family-owned hotel right on a gorgeous beach. As one guide says, clearly a million dollar site but an inexpensive hotel. While it is far from being luxurious in any other sense, the rooms are clean, simple and air conditioning is free and included although there are nights where it is pleasant to sleep with screened windows open and hear thpse crashing waves on that huge expanse of sandy beach which attracts so many knowlegeable surfers. While the dormitory bunkhouses are a real bargain, so are the new double rooms with private bath. This second time I choose a corner single room with a double bed and ac but a shared bath in the corridor for a saving over a private bathroom. While the menu is not extensive the meals are excellent and great value (huge all dressed hamburger for $5 or a large all dressed pizza for $10). Best of all one eats on a shaded terrace right on thw beach..views are terrific. The luxury gated commumity clubhouse is 200 meters down the beach if one wants to pay for first class surroundings and in the other direction, a Swiss-owned hotel with a good kitchen and up thw road 200 meters an Italian owned excellent pizzaria.
