Great place to get a meal while touring the area, featuring a couple of restaurants with amazing views and decent food at a reasonable price.
Bonus points for having a musicians playing traditional music on demand.

Really amazing view of the lake that used to be a volcano. Sometimes it can get very windy. Lots of vendors around with nice craft works. As well as some coffee shops. There is also horse riding available. Definitely one of the places you want to visit if you go to Nicaragua.

It has an amazing view and landscapes. Definitely it is a priceless privilege being there. You can buy a huge variety of souvenirs and ride lovely horses around the place.

The place is super lovely. Its got a gorgeous look of the Laguna de Apoyo and you can even see Granada and the great Nicaraguan lake. The place is always super windy which is nice on a hot day but don't let it fool you because you can easily get sun burn. The only disappointment was the restaurant, I have not try them all but they look pretty much the same and the food was just terrible. I really hope someone comes up wit a beautiful restaurant to do that place justice.

Fantastic views from Granada city and lakes. C$20 per person. Very easy driving/public transport rather from Granada or Masaya. Extremely worth to
    Visit whilst around.

One of the most beautiful place in Nicaragua, pure air, good views, good places to seat and just watch the lagoon. Just try to go at 6 am to see the dawn, or get at 3 pm, to have the best views. You can practice horse riding, it has good places to eat, and also you can see Granada, Nicaragua's lake and mombacho volcano at the same time.

nice place must do in Nicaragua. there's a small and nice hiking way, but we weren't prepared to do it. the restaurants are nice - all offer a little bit different things. prices are okay. only the local sellers annoy a little bit.

You can see a beautiful lake from there that's obvious. Many people just skip the town and go directly to this place by car or bus but I liked the town very much. I recommend to walk through the town from the entrance of this nice town Catarina.

Tidy place to visit, if just for the view. The market stalls have pretty much the same stuff throughout the 20 or so there. $.50 to use the toilets

It is a good place with amazing views from the top of the mirador. The food is great. Just a bit too expensive since it is known that tourists visit frequently so you end up paying double to quadruple regular price of most items.

It has a very beautiful view of the city of Granada, lake Nicaragua (Cocibolca), and the Mombacho Volcano. There's restaurants. If you like walking, there's different trail options . And, you could also ride horses for $10 to less than $5.

One of the best places to relax close to the capital . If your bring your food you need the most 200 Cordobas to have fun

This little area overlooking the volcanic lagoon is a fantastic stop if you're visiting Nicaragua. The vendors along the street offer a diverse selection of Knick-knacks and beautiful items (I myself bought two hammocks for $51, something that would cost me $150+ in the US).

Impressive view. But don't drive 2 hours just to go there. Go to the volcano of Masaya too. :)

We had lunch here in early Feb 2017 on our day trip to Nicaragua from Costa Rica. The food was top notch: fresh and delicious. The view is astounding.

Beautiful place to visit, excellent view, good weather, the wind is strong in some periods of the year. You can enjoy the view, nice restaurant, ride a horse, a little market. Some people walk down to the lagoon but the path is long.
