Probably the best seafood restaurant in SJ for the price.

A friend in the area recommended we come to La Lancha - great spot!

We had a grilled shrimp plate as a appetizer and shared a bottle of wine, for our main we all had the catch of the day as recommended by the server. It was great!

We showed up just after the sunset, all tables inside were full and they gladly set us up another table on the street for us! By the time we were done eating, they set up 8 additional tables outside.

Would recommend to all! Food is great, can be a bit slow but makes up with the flavour and the overall ambience

La Lancha has reached legendary status as the go to seafood restaurant in San Juan del Sur for those looking for both quality and a reasonable price. It has not changed one bit since my last visit over 4 years ago. Still the same amazing food and service as always. I would highly recommend the red snapper (any variation), the shrimp, or the lobster. If you're feeling really hungry, go for the seafood rice or the soup (2 people recommended for the latter). Do yourself a favor and go!

Wife heard good reviews about the lobster here. We both got it tonight. Both were way overcooked. Doubt will come back. Friendly staff out front.

The best fried lobster in San Juan del sur!!
I celebrated my birthday here and they invited my entire family in and fed us like family.

Tiny place not trying to be fancy a bit outside of the strip and was packed. A guy walked in with a huge fish he dragged in from the sea. Lobster plate was $6. Amazing.

Best food in town! Doesn't look like much, but the fact that it's always crowded there states anything you need to know. The seafood is amazing and the owner (which is really friendly) will quickly recommend his sangria. Try it! It's the best one I had so far! BTW it is really cheap as well, so it's a most-go-to place. I would give even more stars if it would be possible.

This is my go-to place for grilled fish--always fresh, tasty and affordable. They serve a variety of other seafood dishes ( but I'm allergic to shellfish, so haven't tried them). They serve wine, sodas and juices. I like the ambiance, too, and it is always crowded with locals at lunch time. I guess they know a good thing when they taste it!

Really good fresh seafood much cheaper that you will find on the seafront. We ate here twice for lunch trying the lobster tail and the fillet of red snapper. All plates we had were served with rice, salad and potato wedges, the portions aren't enormous, but are a good size for lunch. The service was quick and friendly, we got the impression it was a family outfit and when we visited the place was full but they got the food out really quickly without being flustered. This isn't a fancy place but it is definitely worth a visit.

Fresh bargain seafood. Typical Nicaraguan seafood at great prices. No frills eatery with good service and solid seafood.

So, expect flies and really cheap food. The service was friendly but it's not too pretty on the inside. Food was alright.
