Great hotel in the middle of the very animated Calle Calzada. Can be a bit noisy. Very good breakfast buffet.

Stopped for coffee. How far wrong can you go with a coffee called a Bazukero! It was great. Servers were lovely if a little overzealous.

My girlfriend her family and I decided to take a stroll in Granada, on our way back to our rental car I happened to look inside this hotel which had an amazing water fountain and beautiful wooden decor. We sat down to have a small appetizer and some drinks. I ordered the croquetas which where mouth watering, kind of took me back to miami for a split second. The salad was fresh and crisp as where the chips. My girlfriend asked for a caipirinha, she had never had one but Iv had many in my travels and suggested she try one. It wasn't to her particular liking so she took a sip and left it on the table. Moments later our serve brought her 6 year old brother a cup full of ice cream. He stated it was on the house. On the house I said to myself? This kind of treatment is rare for Nicaragua. We accepted the offering and thanked the server. As we enjoyed the beautiful environment and great energy I looked to my left and saw a gentlemen sitting alone but having extensive conversations with the staff. He seemed very friendly with the staff and they reacted very well when they saw him. I figured he was a regular. The gentleman seemed extremely interested in how we where being treated. He approached our table and introduced himself. He spoke English and said his name was Pedro. He explained like an intelligent businessman that the customers are the core of any establishment. He asked that we provide feedback to the staff so they could adjust or fix anything we didn't quite like. He was kind enough to share stories and must go places. But above all, he was kind enough to make out stay one that we will never forget. To Mr. Pedro and the staff at this hotel/restaurant I want to thank you. Not only did you provide many dishes and drinks on the house but I will make sure to spread the word and make sure all know to visit this establishment.

Great 5 nights at the hotel. The decor is beautiful. Staff extremely friendly. Breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious. We had lunch one day and it was amazing.

Excellent traditional colonial building. Great service in the hotel. I was married in their hall and it was one of the best parties ever. I am biased but I still get people telling me how beautiful everything was.

Open air hotel in an old colonial style architecture setting. Simply beautiful with a central courtyard with flowers, palms, and flowing fountain. Very kind and courteous staff. Very close to the town square, about 10 restaurants immediately out the front door along with the hotel's restaurant. Simply beautiful!

Hotel Dario's amazing courtyard, the onsite café with crisp coffee, and the scene on the main street will make your trip. The hotel's location is phenomenal and is right on the street where the main party is happening in Granada. The hotel rooms were quaint and swimming pool is small and is great for a dip. Morning breakfast had some great selections and was enjoyable right before we headed out to San Juan del Sur. You could visit my YouTube Channel: Tab! or type in Nicaragua 2016 Journey for my VLOG. I loved everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, with tons of shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions all around. The staff was incredibly helpful, asisting us with any questions or needs for advice, as well as helping ensure we parked in a safe spot in the alley behind the hotel. Every evening when we got back, the security guard would come out, direct us to the best parking spot, and take care of shooing off any beggars (which are unavoidable, so don't take their presence as a negative indicator about the hotel). We also ended up with an extra traveling companion and the hotel staff graciously accommodated our need for a bigger room. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a quaint little pool in the courtyard. The room was spacious, with plenty of space for our luggage, had a very nice bathroom, and provided excellent toiletries.
This was BY FAR my favorite of all the places we stayed in Nicaragua, including 3 other hotels and one all inclusive resort. I wouldn't return to a single other hotel we stayed at. I would return here in a heartbeat.response / report this review -
