Great place, clean, friendly staff, nice pool, delicious breakfast included! Definitely recommend if you want to stay not far from everything!

Amazing place, people, service can't say enough great things worth every penny in paradise! A little bit more than the 20 a night private but so worth it!!! Especially if your looking for a quite relax away.

Beautiful Hostel with a wonderful garden, we were served delicious and fresh breakfast (cereals, eggs, fresh fruit, toast, french toast) every morning. In the evening we could get refreshing and cheap drinks and play games on the cozy veranda. We also booked a hiking tour to volcano concepcion there and we had a great guide who spoke English fluently. Would totally recommend this place to everyone!!!

Loved this place! It's clean and fresh - everything is well taken care of. The pool area is lovely, with hammocks nearby and deck chairs. The communal area is also pretty and has a small kitchen area for guests. They also run an honesty system for drinks etc. on site which is a great idea. Breakfast is included in the room price and was very good - lovely bowl of fresh fruit included. Our room was great - spacious and airy, with large bathroom and deck chairs outside. All very new! The only suggested addition would be A/C but some of the more expensive rooms have it (fans were provided.) The hotel organised a guide for us to hike up Volcan Conception - he was a lovely, local guy called Marlon who was very knowledgeable, funny and friendly, and who spoke fantastic English. The hotel is within walking distance of the town but far enough out to be a bit quieter. The Canadian owners are warm, helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

Hospedaje Soma is a wonderful place to stay whilst visiting Ometepe. The rooms are large and clean, the swimming pool is amazing, the breakfast is delicious and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

It was a really nice accommodation. The rooms are clean and it is quiet. Dorms are from $ 10 and double private room from $ 12,5. The staff is friendly and can give you professional and exact information about tours and what to do on the island. We rented bikes for $ 20 a day and also the guy who rent us the bikes was super nice.

Let me start by saying, you DO NOT want to stay on this part of the island. Moyogalpa has nothing to offer except for this wonderful hotel, restaurants, and proximity to the ferry. On the other hand, Hospedaje Soma (despite the location) could not have been any better. Nice staff, cheapest rentals (motorbikes $20/day, tours, massages $15/hour), honor system for drinks, wonderful lodging, delicious free breakfast of a good portion, and good chill area with pretty garden. Not too much of an atmosphere but can't complain because the facilities were so nice. No restaurant except for the free breakfast, but they will order you a pizza if you don't want to walk 10 min to restaurants. If this was only located in a different part of the island, it would be a great place to stay. Stay here for the cheap tours though if you're looking to do a day of motor biking or hiking and don't care about the area you're in.

The new owners Sarah and Terry are so wonderful and very nice they receive you very well and there's security staffed by locals 24hrs; it's really a chill environment and peaceful!
I felt really relaxed knowing that my stuff wasn't going to get stolen like my bike it really is secure and the fact that it's away from the center of the town it helps you get a good nights sleep.
Dorms are $8 a night and you can pay the security guards or the owners also they keep a tab of the drinks the have in their fridge if you ever want to grab something. Very convenient.
