The atmosphere is cool and hip. The fish paired with boiled potatoes was a bit odd but the elements on their own were enjoyable.

You know that feeling when a friend hypes up a movie, you go there, and you're disappointed because you had way too high expectations?
This is what happened to me here, after reading the reviews, I had too high expectations.

This place was awesome. Went twice. First time just for drinks. Great cocktails. Had the mojito and the tropical sangria. Would recommend both. Sangria is a bit bigger while the mojito is like a slush. Second time we went for dinner and you choose a protein then how it comes to you. I had the quesadilla and my girlfriend had the fish option in Yuka and onions. We both really enjoyed it. Try and sit in the back patio area if you can. Everything is very tastefully decorated.

My friends and I love good food yet we also value the overall experience. Both of these requirements were fulfilled at The Bodegon! We were greeted right away and were seated quickly. We started with a round of drinks. The frozen mojito was amazing and very affordable! The menu was in Spanish and English which was very helpful! Our food arrived in a timely manner and we were pleasantly surprised by the portion size! It was plenty of food and the flavors were delicious! If we were staying in Nicaragua longer we would definitely come back!

Great food, good prices and big portions! I had the fish with plantain chips and my boyfriend had the pork in a quesadilla and both were incredible!! Would definitely go back.

I came here on my first day in Nicaragua, which was my birthday, and I can't choose better place. El lomo cerdo con yucca y mojo was tasty, best meal I have in Nicaragua. Plus Victoria beer and mojito :-) and friedly staff.

El lomo cerdo con yucca al mojo, along with a few mojitos, was one of the best meals I had anywhere in Nicaragua! Not to mention the restaurant has a great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

Great food and lovely atmosphere. The rain chased us inside, but the patio was charming. Highly recommend, especially for those hoping to avoid the insanely loud restaurants we've frequented to date. But the food was really great.

Great atmosphere, really good blend of flavors, great drinks. Most creative dining in maybe all of Nicaragua - for sure in leon. Super reasonable prices. Also they do an amazing Sunday brunch

Simple and delicious Cuban style food. Had the Cuban pork with onions and yuca con mojo. Very large portions and reasonably priced for the quality of food ~220-300c
