Great food for a cheap price. But what's best is that Cafe Luz employs locals and all the profits go towards good causes including a bibliobus and teaching locals about the environment.

I applaud the mission, but the coffee was really disappointing, easily the weakest and least tasty of my few weeks in Nicaragua. If you aren't a coffee person though, the place is probably okay

A nice cafe related to the hostel of the same name across the street. They have a nice selection of non-typical dishes, that most tourists will enjoy. We enjoyed their food and at breakfast, lunch, and dinner her on separate days. It's a great place to go to work on your laptop while have some coffee or a drink. It can get packed in the evenings as it's a pretty popular place. They also offer reasonably priced tours that start from here.

Non profit organisation serving really great value non Nica food. Lovely hummus, dahl, lasagna etc. Very vegetarian friendly.

Sloppy coffee, basic interior and a noisy street corner.

    Highly recommended.

Friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere and nice food if a little pricey for the area. They also sell local products such as cigars, jewelry etc. which is nice.

Nice little cafe, good if you want to work.

It's quite expensive though and it's very touristy for Esteli.

Best People, great service, really good prices.

A friend recommended us this place as we could pay by the night, we didn't know if we would stay there or not, we ended spending the whole week here for 30$ a night in a room that could fit all 3 of us. Down to earth people, a VERY honest and ethical Social Enterprise. Food is amazing. 3$ for the best breakfast in town. Safe, fun and very helpful if you want to need any directions or anything. You stick around at the bar long enough, sooner or later you will make friends with locals or other visitors and really enjoy the true Estelí vibe. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

Great international cafe/restaurant. Perks are the vegetarian options, non-smoking section, laundry service, access to community events, their support of local family farms..The list goes on!

All right I know it's a place full of tourists, kind of place I avoid generally but I chose to go there (many times) for their ethical policy compatible with low prices. A good initiative.

Backpacker central in Esteli. Best place to meet locals in a safe bar with good music and food. Great hostel across the road and adjoining tourist office for trips to Miraflor and Somoto Canyon. An ethical social enterprise employing locals and funneling profits into projects throughout the region. Unmissable.
