Amazing experience! Simply the best .
Friendly staff. Great views .
Impressive!
OMG! Experience of a lifetime to climb a still active volcano. Climb is steep and hard to navigate unless you are in decent shape, and the wind was super fierce on the day we went. Thought we were actually going to be blown off the mound and become human sacrifices for the fire gods! However, the challenge was well worth the experience and the bragging rights for doing something so extraordinary!!
Be wary of who you get your sleds and guide from. The sliding used to be safe and we had some real scares recently. Too fast, no control, bad rash burn and crash landings.
Loved the experience sand boarding. Amicable people. Lots of things to do at Cerro Negro.
What an amazing experience. The hike is easy to medium, only because there are two short parts of the hike where it really gets difficult. Also the wind at the top can throw you off balance if you aren't careful. But it's totally worth it!!! Put your hand under the sand to feel the volcano's heat!
Volcano boarding was excellent. Hiking was on an easy trail
This was an amazing experience, climbing up an active volcano. It was a bit strenuous as we had to hold our sleds as well. Overall beautiful views on top. The slide down was alright, nothing really amazing, but it's a long way down.
Great natural wonder to visit. Views are crazy, boarding doen is nice.
Amazing experience! Can be scary at the beginning but once it's done you just want to do it again
Been here a few times, always enjoy the scenery.
Only place in the world where you can board down an active volcano. Hard to DIY so get in touch with a group. Ascent is even scarier as you can literally get blown off the mountain with strong winds as your boards are not exatcly aerodynamic if held the wrong way. Listen to guide in how to steer properly or else your way down might be slow and sloppy. Must do in Nicaragua!
Climb up the face of this volcano and then proceed to brag about to others! Excellent views to be seen from up top!
Vulcano Boarding is a must there - be cafeful though!!!
