This hotel is very well situated between two amazing beaches. The hotel is quiet and offers incredible views. The staff is very friendly and mostly speaks Spanish. The shuttle is easy and cheapest found so far when booked from the hotel directly ($30 to San Jose).
Just a nice friendly relaxing place to stay and be out of the wind. I highly recommend sipping your preferred cold beverage while looking and the incredible sunset on the Marcella beach.response / report this review -

Spectacular stay, friendly staff and even got to talk quite a bit with the owner. The views of the ocean and the sunsets from the hotel are breathtaking. Within a short walking distance from Playa Marsella, it is the perfect spot to relax, chill and enjoy the raw beauty of Nicaragua’s Pacific shore. Will definitely stay there again.

Excellent place to stay, what a new year eve party!! Cocktails are awesome and people are great O also recommend you go to eat in from there is a place when you would taste real nica food just delicious and beach is private and safe, it's a really nice place for being with a GF ♡ or BG.. 100 percent recommended

This hotel made my trip, the owner was very accommodating and involved with his hotel. He's an American from california so the customer service is what you would expect from a nice hotel such as this one. The road getting there is REALLY bumpy (also known as the chocolate road). Take your time driving down it and it really is that far down before you make your final turn lol. The restaurant by the beach (5 min walk from the hotel) has the best shrimp dishes I've ever eaten. grilled and cooked in butter amazing. The restaurant at the hotel is okay, pinto and rice for breakfast gets a little old, but hey its Nicaragua. Overall a great place and location to rest before starting your adventures.

Ignore the older reviews on there. I think it's been revamped the past few months based on reading the old reviews. This place is incredible and would recommend infinitely to everyone. Rooms are very very nice, comfy beds, and the ensuites were top notch. Pool is clean and clear, and the food is very good. They have a good connection with the community of other hotels and communes across the hill and there's incredible experiences to be had there. Michelle, the manager, is the loveliest person too. If you get the chance to stay then do so. Cannot rate it highly enough.

Not going back. I'm not picky about places because I'm a Costa Rican so it's not like I have big standards, I'm a simple man.
I don't like long texts so let me summarize.
Food servings will make you think they're going either broke or out of food.
The road to get there is 10Km of nightmare. Seriously people do something, it's ridiculous.
Place location is just OK, close to the beach, nothing to do around it.
I didn't use the pool, they never cleaned it and I saw the same frog swimming in it for over a day.
Beds arejust lay on the floor. It'll be better. Same goes to pillows.
2/10 would never step a foot there again. Oh and it's expensive, I paid $481 for 4 nights.

A great place to stay. We spent four nights at the Cabana and had a great time playing at the pool. Because it also had a kitchen and fridge, we did not eat out as often, but had 2 meals at the restaurant. The food was good and the staff very friendly.

Very nice hotel only three minutes from the beach. The rooms have A/C and the Wifi is amazing. Large swimming pool and restaurant on site make you not wanting to go to the beach. But if you do, Playa Maderas is only 5 minutes away to go surfing.

There's definitely room for improvement. The place has a beautiful location and the buildings are nice. However the rooms are not worth the price (around 120$/night), the everyday cleaning of the rooms is not sufficient, no new towels or shampoo. When it comes to the restaurant the food is really bad (bad quality ingredients and poorly done), and the sizes of the meals are not satisfying. Breakfast is included - you get to choose between three dishes and there's barely any food. The bartender deserves a good remark though, opposite the rest of the staff he's service minded and makes fine cocktails. The manager at the place is less service minded and not helpful at all. We didn't feel very welcome. It's tough having a nice time at this place when the food isn't good, the kitchen and bar closes at 8 pm, the lack of a good atmosphere and the fact that the staff and manager isn't very helpful or welcoming. All things considered the place is too expensive compared to what you get.
I hope they will improve.
