Horrible service. Bought a $1000 frigidaire range. They've sent "technicians" to get it functioning properly three times. Still not working. Their techs are imbeciles. And as always in Nicaragua no way at all to return anything. Be prepared to get bent over by these incompetent thieves. Buy from sinsa or pricesmart instead.
Unfortunately, my experience has been and continues to be the very unpleasant and completely violates the code of conduct ANY corporation should have. With that said, let me explain. I bought a brand new refrigerator in Copasa Matagalpa a little over a week ago. The transaction was smooth, the delivery was set for Wednesday 11/8 which was done. The refrigerator was connected but it did not work, meaning it did not get cold enough for any items to be stored. We contacted Copasa Matagalpa and they said that they would send a specialist, he set up the digital portion and said, that it should now work. No luck! The refrigerator is still not working days later after delivery/set up. Since the item bought, brand new, did not work from the beginning, what makes sense to me is to have it replaced. It's supposed to be new and functioning! We are now being told that they can't do that, that the warranty (which I NEVER signed nor was I informed of the warranty protocol) requires a technician to come out and service the BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR. Why??? The item NEVER worked and warranties start WHEN THE ITEM IS FUNCTIONING, which in our case it was NEVER working. How can you apply a warranty to something that has NEVER worked? Makes more sense and would be more ideal for the customer to receive an exchange of the item that was bought. It was not bought on credit, it was paid in full and we expect the item to be brand new, ready to plug in/set up and working. We got none! Now, we have to wait for ANOTHER specialist to see what the issue is.this is NOT acceptable! We did not buy a USED item so why should we have to wait on a inefficient protocol to get what we paid for, a BRAND NEW FUNCTIONING REFRIGERATOR. I was NEVER told of such restrictions on the warranty, it was the companies responsibility to inform us of this but they failed. They have also failed at knowing and reading the warranty because it states that the item has to be FUNCTIONING, which is it not from day one. I will continue to use all my resources to ensure that Copasa does the right thing in this and all other related situations. The customer should NOT have to wait for an item that is already purchased and not functioning, as if it's the customers wrong doing. Copasa should exchange the BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR and handle the damaged one with Samsung, as I'm sure there is a warranty in place. I will also be writing to Samsung to make them aware of the items that Copasa is selling, they should be aware of the disservice Copasa is doing them because at this point, I'm not sure if Samsung is putting out items that don't work or have a dysfunction or is it Copasa? I will continue to write, call and do everything in my power to warn others about Copasa. I hope you do the right thing!

I'm a U.S. Citizen who has lived in Managua for 8 years. I am the General Manager of a business in Managua with 3000 employees. I have shopped for 8 years at the COPASA near my home at the Galeria. I've bought air conditioners, wide screen TVs, a stove, a refrigerator, and many other items.
I went to that COPASA today March 20th to buy a $1000 air conditioner I presented my Nicaraguan Cedula and a Master Card. I was told if I wanted to use an international credit card I had to present my passport. That my Nicaraguan Cedula with my home address on it wasn't good enough.
I pointed out how many times I've shopped at that store using that same credit card, and what bad service it would be to make me go home and get my passport when I had a valid cedula and a drivers license with me.
They didn't care. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told there was nobody else there that would help me. I asked
Them to call a manager. They refused.
So I left. I went a few blocks further to SINSA on carretera Masaya and bought my air conditioner using my cedula and the same credit card I presented in COPASA.
Clearly COPSA has become a bad place to do business. Even long term customers are treated very badly.
The people at SINSA were great. I intend to tell everyone I know about my terrible experience at COPSA and the great service I got at SINSA. Do yourself a favor and avoid a being treated like like I was at COPASA. Just go to SINSA.
