Great hospital
The paediatricians And gynaecologist were amazing. Although a lot could be done to increase the number of nurses and doctors on
each shift.
The best in metropolitan Ilorin.
Cool, Serene and Beautiful Environment. Former University Teaching Hospital.
Situated in the outskirt of the ancient city of Ilorin, the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital - UITH (as popularly known among the students, medical especially, and members of staff of the university, including some others) is a typical Nigerian medical teaching facility with a wide expanse of land which also serves as a medical respite for the locals (who would rather refer to the facility simply as "general").
Commissioned in 2007 by the general Obasanjo administration, it replaced the old General Hospital (which also doubled as the teaching hospital then) due to space constraint in the latter.
There you find some of the best hands in Nigeria - professors, consultants, junior and senior registrar doctors, pharmacists, nurses, laboratory scientists and technicians et cetera. The facility recently received a boost with the newly commissioned Trauma centre.
Very clean and good. They have lovely doctors and nurses.
