It's a lovely place with beautiful scenery
You can always be sure of a place to sit but it is not so great during rainy seasons

A befitting environment for a university with enough space for hangout for students and shades to hide during a sunny afternoon. Different items are sold at the surrounding environment which ranges from airtime to ice creams and writing materials. The Federal government did a well planned vicinity for the senate garden Kudos.

Senate garden is located at the earth of University of Lagos. This place is actually for relaxation for students and others.
There's no restriction to any moral things you can do here and so as well there's no entry fee to use this garden.

Using the garden for a commercial purpose without permission attracts an arrest by the security unit.
This place is close to the Senate building and the security unit headquarter on the Northern side, Mariere hostel by the South, Faculty of Engineering by the East and Faculty of Arts by the West.

This place only has 3 slabs to sit on by different individual so once you see all occupied just find your next phase to relax.

As a student in UNILAG, we used to call this place, "Love Garden". It was not uncommon to see two people of the opposite sex seated under the ambient trees, discussing and enjoying the serene environment. That's in the evenings though.

During the day, especially when school is in session, the plays is always filled with students having one meeting or the other.

Some students who go there to read or have some quiet time during that period may not find it enjoyable. All said, it was one of my favourite spots on campus.

Nice place to have an evening meet up or discuss. Cool with trees that form a canopy, there's a sit-up present also.
Its right in front of Unilag's Senate House.

This is a conspicuous place in the University of Lagos.People take shade under the trees here. It's a popular spot and it assesses various areas of the institution like the Faculty of Law,Arts, the school library and the Advanced Legal Studies.

The Senate love garden is just below the Senate building of the school and very close to the Faculty of Arts; it is directly behind the Arts Theatre. As the name implies, more often than not you would find lovers cuddled together at the love garden although it is usually populated by Arts and Law students during the day time. After the noise of the day, the love garden has a romantic tinge to it in the evenings and you can enjoy the whispered words of sweet nothings from your boyfriend or girlfriend. A word of advice, it’d be a good idea to carry along insect repellents, the mosquitoes there can make your evening quite unpleasant.

One of the best relaxation gardens you'd find around, although it's open and sometimes very rowdy.

The scenery is great, with tress and shrubs all round. A good place to just sit and relax. Is best at night though.
