Still one of the worst airports there is. Apart from the arrival tent, the departure hall that looks and feels like a poultry house can go up to 30° more and get really stuffy.
The security is very porous
Touts are always available to harass you outside and inside the hall
Lots of corporate beggars from some FAAN staff to the AvSec personnel.response / report this review -

One of the worst airports in Nigeria if not the worst.
It only gets the one-star because of it departure terminal. The arrival terminal would be a rude shock to any traveller. It is a tent. A very shabby tent. You retrieve your luggage very manually and it is inconveniently offloaded from the runway.
There is no convenience, travelers have nowhere to sit while they wait for their luggages to arrive by hand.
The departure terminal is large and stuffy. The air conditioning doesn’t work and there are no shops but for after the security point.
If there are alternative route to your travel destination, I’d suggest you avoid this airport bresponse / report this review -

I'm glad this airport have some more features at least they cleaned up the tent terminal , my dad said about this airport I couldn't believe but now I'm bit good in feeling good development Nigerian Government pretty awesome!!!

Significant improvement from the last time I was here. The main building is now in use (ie. No more tents). A relatively small airport however gets the job done. There are phone network kiosks like airtel and 9mobile. The departure room has a small eatery for basic meals. Security and airport staff were decent.

This place though can get you to your destination, but needs improvement as quick as possible if people close had options to choose a different airport close, will never use the airport as its in dire need of a renovation.

Pretty poor design for an airport. Construction has been going on for far too long without the airport looking any better. There's only one "restaurant" in the departure lounge. No flight updates via a screen. The waiting area is very small, so it gets tight if a lot of flights leave at the same time. Also if you've already gone past security, and you need the restrooms, you've gotta go back into the area before security. It's also quite boring! Not great for an international airport.

If I had a choice, I'd skip coming here. The first shocker is at arrivals. The lounge is a tent! Then a truck comes with your bags and ransacking begins. Hard to control. The departure waiting area is like an abandoned warehouse interior. Food isn't so bad sold by Genesis. Bad services in the place.

This airport is an embarrassment even for Nigerian standards. This is the departure hall for an "international" airport. Do better!

This airport is a national disgrace and an international embarrassment.
It is in a deplorable state, baggage handling is rubbish.

Still can't believe this is a "international" airport! It's abominable to see the old building in such a horrible condition. You'd have thought the structure would be covered up until it is ready for repairs. It's been this way for years now! Sad for the the state and sad for the country. Worst airport I've ever visited without a shadow of doubt and I'm Nigerian.
