Omenka represents a fine selection of established and emerging contemporary African and international artists working in diverse media. Omenka Gallery also organizes several workshops and residencies to encourage curatorial and professional artistic development.
The studio itself looks like an artwork; beautifully laid out, extremely neat, great lighting effects and wonderful usher to show you around.response / report this review -

Simple layout inside the gallery. Very accessible street only if it's not your first time. Chill out garden spot overlooking the Lagos lagoon.

A pretty cool gallery/restaurant hybrid with a garden dining area that I absolutely loved. The food is delicious and the servings are large! I visited with a big group and the staff remained courteous even though we could tell they were overwhelmed.

I really like Omenka gallery, for art in Lagos you have to stop here. The famous sculpture in front of the national museum was made by the owner of the property Late Prof Enwonwu. There is a nice place to sit with family and friends outside the gallery with a mini lounge.

The art event was exceptionally uncomfortable. Poor ventilation. No staff tending to the guests. A drink spilled on the ground and for the next 30 minutes it built a pool that spread across the galleryno clean up. Very disappointing.

Regular exhibits in a clean-lines, modern space that lets you focus on the art. The attached outdoor B & C Garden Restaurant has the tastiest Nigerian and continental dishes I've had in Lagos restaurants in huge portions at great prices (and the best reusable takeaway packs you'll find in the city)--in a beautiful garden right on the waterfront. Concerts/live music too from time to time.
