Nike Art Gallery is indeed the home for arts and culture for any art lover or art enthusiast. The gallery itself is well stocked and pilled up with different arts, relics and artifacts. I was astounded and amazed at the works of various art works in the gallery. Indeed humans are really creative. You can see how the way of life, Living and Culture are been expressed through arts.

It is a great place for a family outing. Recommended for kids and groups as well.

No words can really described how how happy I am finding myself in such a beautiful place filled up with expressions of the way of life. The staffs were very friendly and polite.

We were assigned a tour guide who took us around the gallery. It comes with a fee though getting the tour guide to take you around showing you the art works in the gallery, telling you how they are been expressed in life etc. The guide was very helpful as she spent a good time explaining to us in a well detailed manner from various art works in the museum. I also love the fact that she engaged us in a Q&A section to confirm if we really do understand what she is saying and also to know if we could express some of the artworks in our own ideas without her first explaining.

If you don't want a guide you can move around the gallery and check the various artworks all by yourself, this option is free but as an explorer of art this won't be the best option to you as you would neither learn anything or anything new due to the fact that you don't have a guide with you expressing how some of the art works can be interpreted in real life. So I will definitely recommend you their guide so that they can take you on a tour.

Accessibility here is a tough one. People using wheelchair might not be able to explore the art works on the 1st & second floor but just the ground floor only.

There is no accessible lift or accessible means for wheelchair users to get to the upper floors so this will be a difficult one. I will recommend they provide easy accessibility so that wheelchair users can be able to explore all part of the gallery as well.

You will definitely seek all you find in here. Tons of artworks and painting. I love the way the artworks are arranged and how the gallery was set up. Great stuff. I love this place and I will definitely visit again.

In my opinion, Nike Art Gallery has the highest collection of arts, paintings and sculptures in Lagos, maybe Nigeria not sure Sha. It's very lovely and the staff who works as guides and very courteous. A visit is not enough because of the volume of collections. I also need to add that it cost you nothing to visit, yes you heard me! You only pay if you want a guide to be explaining the paintings and the arts to you. I'm already planning my next visit. Please remember it's not children art gallery. If you have to with a lady you will have to sign an undertaking, I will rather not take them.

It's such an amazing gush of artistic influence - you get to experience art in its best form - showcased as on a gallery.
Want to try on different traditional attires of African heritage or learn about them? This is your best bet.

Culture - tradition - nativity at its best.
The stories behind the various artwork being showcased there is amazing. The delicate craftsmanship too is just to be admired.

A must visit once you are in Lagos!
Whether you are an artist, art lover, someone who just appreciates art on the surface, culture lover, you would love it here.
Mama Nike an amazing person, extremely friendly and very detailed in her explanations, you just might run into her.
Sculptures are intriguing.
Pictures of the art aren’t allowed at the gallery but you can ask to visit the Ripples & Nike Art Foundation, a house full that drips of rich African culture and yes, pictures are allowed there!
Definitely one of the free places in Lagos actually worth visiting.

They have beautiful art work from a large community of Nigerian artists. Some of the works there are awe inspiring and the range from sculptures, paintings of various types like still, abstract, canvas etc, weaving works, beads, Nigerian attire. One catchy aspect is that most of the works are from recycled materials. The art works fill up three floors of the building in air conditioned environment.

Nike Art Gallery, the famous and infectious gallery on Lekki, Lagos.
Are you a tourist or just visiting Lagos, Nigeria? Nike Art Gallery is one of the places you just have to go for Arts, raw entertainment. Practical training of Tie and dye, dance and learning local dance steps and so much more all in a short time of about 1 - 2hours.
Nike, the mama is a very great host. You are welcomed by traditional drummers and beautiful lovely and smiling faces
They are very friendly and really really entertaining. You get to take pictures with their indigo wears, the beads and all, you can just become loyalty in minutes if you so wish.
There are tones of Art works, amazing beaded arts by Nike, tones of batik and tie dye available for you to purchase.
There is an annex where they have house interiors on display, you can see much more in the pictures

Largest gallery in Nigeria. Treasure island on land hidden in the heart of Lekki. Three floors of greatness. A pure celebration of Nigerian art at its peak headed by Madam Nike Okundaye who is widely acknowledged as one in the forefront of female African art. Who wouldn't be wowed? A must visit place for anyone in Lagos even TripAdvisor would direct you there.

This gallery is like a treasure island with a variety of unique pieces to choose from.
We were fortunate to meet with the lady that runs the gallery and she is a free spirited individual who openly invited us to come back for a meal.

Nike Art Gallery is unique and should have something for everyone.
There is a ton of art pieces at the gallery and due to the time I spent in there, I found it so hard making a choice on a art piece.

I will recommend a visit to the gallery and will be visiting again myself.

This is by far the largest Art Gallery in West Africa, housed within a 3 storey complex, it would also win the accolade for "the longest gallery" in W. Africa if measured in terms of its area span , Whilst taking pictures, I covered an estimated 2 kilometer distance within the complex, suffice me to add that there are loads of exhibits kept in storage due to lack of display space.
You would find in this gallery, works of artists from a wide range of backgrounds, ethnicities, demographics and artistic mastery.

If like me, you are lucky to meet Chief Mrs Nike Davies-Okundaye, the Chief Curator and a renowned artist herself, you will be humbled by her simplicity, hospitality and outright humility.

This is the one place in Lagos i can spend a full day and not get bored, Time seems to stop until you get warning signs from your belly

Nike Art Gallery deserves a six star rating. It is a beautiful, modern building designed by a gifted lady to warehouse the best cultural artifacts of Nigerian heritage. The centre boasts of art - paintings, sculptures, wooden, bronze; of traditional African clothing and accessories such as beads. Here craft is taught - tie and dye, beading etc. You can also get a cultural troupe performance.

A very good place for connoisseurs of culture looking to feed their palate. A great expression of Nigeria

One of the most awesome art gallery I have visited in a long while. And you don't need to be an expert to see the beauty in the work they do with recycled materials, runner, 3D paintings. Simply awesome.

It's four floors of creativity, with gems on each floor. Do take an hour or so to see the whole place. For more, check out the photographs I have posted on Google maps.

DO NOT BUY ART FROM THIS SHOP!!!!!!

I bought a piece of art from this dealer in February that I was very excited to have found. They claimed that they could not run my international card for the $90 USD but would convert the currency and charge me in Naira. I agreed to this method thinking I was in a legitimate business with a warm host. I later saw that the currency exchange was completely wrong I was charged $144.95 USD instead. At first I assumed this was an honest mistake and reached out right away to let them know what happened. At first I received no response - I had to send multiple emails to get anyone to answer me. Then once I did get a response - they immediately began to deny any wrong doing - blaming the banks (even though they were the people who made the error). Next I presented them with the actual currency exchange rate for the day - which drastically differed from the amount that they used a calculator to determine. Still they blamed the bank. So then I was forced to get my credit card company and bank involved.I just found out that nothing could come of it because they only wrote the total in Naira (even though they admitted in email that an error had been made).

Simply put - Nike knowingly stole money from me and they are not going to return it. She and her company are absolute crooks - I can only hope that they care about their reputation enough to rectify this situation. DO NOT BUY HERE. I really cannot stress that enough. My co-worker bought a piece at the same time as me and was also significantly overcharged- they never even bothered to respond to her emails.

This place is just simply awesome. The nicest staff of local artists, and Nike, who is one of the dearest lady I have ever met. The arts are amazing, and there is a diverse selecton from hadcrafted clothes to magnificent paintings. I can only recommend this place to everyone! Thanks for the experience!

Loved it, creativity and art works all on display, Met Madam and she was very gracious along side her courteous staff. 3 floors of magnificent works one visit will not cut it have to go back there again and again
