  Very rundown hotel which saw better times long ago. Customer experience is poor from beginning to end. Reservation via hotels.ng doesn't work, all common areas are extremely dilapidated, rooms smell, dirty walls, small insect crawling on walls. Bathrooms are classic example of lack of maintenance lasting for years.
  Hotel is over staffed, but that won't guarantee standard service. To order in restaurant or bar is an adventure with unsure result. Drinks arrive without glass and it's not easy to get a clean one. Waiter had to run from restaurant to bar to get one. He brought only one. Second came only after repeated requests and was dirty from previous drink. Breakfast was an exercise of watching at your omelette getting cold while you are waiting for cutlery.
  Food was OK, but nothing special. Bradt Guidebook said it's the best place to eat so our expectations were somewhat higher.
  
  Any positives? Power 24h, airconditioned rooms and hot water. And of course compound is relatively secure.
