Dugbe is easily the heartbeat of Ibadan. It houses what used to be the tallest building in Nigeria, and a host of Federal Government parastatals. When a mall opened in Ibadan early this year bringing with it famous retail stores, it had to be sited in Dugbe. HeritageÂ
the Mall has become one of the most visited spots in Ibadan almost overnight, no mean feat for a city where people love the comfort of their houses.
Malls are typically the go-to places anywhere you go, and Heritage literally bids you come. The huge edifice is well-known for it’s cinema, FilmHouse, and sometimes you could go one hour early for a movie and end up seeing another one because the one youÂ
There is a food court, which has three outlets of eateries (at last count), so feel free to come here hungry. Heritage has everything. The mall is a three-storey building with an escalator and boasts shops that hold almost anything, from clothing to mobile accessories to books.
The cinema offers movies at 500 naira until 6pm on weekdays. While you wait for your movie(s), there is a lounge where you can have a drink. Finding a place to wait (sit) can be problematic, but if you’re up for it, there is a furniture shop on the ground floor with a lot of comfy sofas. Particularly entertaining are the Nollywood movie premieres that happen in the mall from time to time, you might just see that favourite actor/actress of yours and be free to totally act a groupie.
If you are in Ibadan, and want to get to the mall, your best bet is by Okada. However, do not say you are going to the Cinema or Heritage Mall, most Okada riders might take you to a place called Queen’s Cinema, also in Dugbe, where a cinema used to be back in the day. Many also do not know the mall’s actual name. Say you are going to Mr Price; same with taxis. Aside the good hotels in Ibadan and numerous tourist spots, one of the best things about this ancient town is that transport is cheap, If you’re driving, there’s a parking space underground for a token fee.
Heritage Mall is a very good place for shopping.
Nice place to be at d right time
Great mall for all of your needs with convenience as the watchword.
They have a good underground parking space for free.
Good location easy access to most places in the center of the city itself
There are lots of different stores that offer visitors variety in choice.
It's great for shopping, games, relaxing and movies.
I especially like the services of the 9mobile outlet in the mall. The staff are courteous and very helpful. I don't like the food court because all the restaurants I tried out recently are way below par so I stick to food from the shoprite
It was the place place I could notice an escalator. However , they are beginning to be dysfunctional. But it's an ideal place to unwind with its cinema house and many eye catching features
Fantastic shopping experience with a mini amusement park for kids
An elegant structure and very accessible with car park, good eatry and lots more
Movies, shopping, nice places to eat and drink. Its a cool place to have fun and relax.
The only action attraction is the Film house Life gradually being sucked out of the mall due to ridiculous store prices and poor maintenance. Overall Its an okay place.
Beautiful mall where you can buy quality items such as clothing, shoes, electronics, home appliances, and even food. It's also got a cinema to view latest movies.
A very cool place
It's a bit crowded. The mall generally does not reach the good standard, the parking isn't large, the building isn't stunning, navigation around isn't easy. It's just average really.
The first major mall in Ibadan, I enjoyed shopping here, goods are actually quite affordable. You can grab a bite and a movie too.
it's going dead, they need to find something interesting to attract people over, unless they would keep losing customers to new malls. they keep losing vendors almost every week
I really like the Heritage Mall. It's very well ventilated with a decent number of shops which sell stuff at relatively cheap prices. The parking is good and you can always get public transportation at any time during the mall hours. Definitely one of my favourite places in Ibadan.
