Very good and nice hotel in the capital city of Sokoto - The Seat of The Caliphate. Had a very nice time when I was here. Their rooms are very much clean and fully air-conditioned, with very clean toilets. The power supply is almost non-stop with the help of standby generator if there is power outage from the national grid. Their staffs are also helpful and the room service are also doing their job. And above all, their price is very competitive as it is not expensive for such a hotel

Of course, no doubt, this is a good place to stay anytime u visit the city of the caliphate.
It's about 5mins walk away from UDUTH. A 5 star hotel, guess it's the only one in Sokoto. But a little bit expensive for an average person. Though, the service is worth it.

It is the only Hotel in Sokoto that has a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and cheap. But quality of service is average and can be very poor sometimes. There is no bar.

Thirty years later, the hotel that the late Governor Kangiwa built is still standing! The hotel is neat and clean - to some extent. I wrote "to some extent" because looking at the big picture, everything about the hotel is exquisite but when you look closer, especially the toilets in the rooms, you may see things that may irk you. Example, some toilet seats were really dirty. I received only one towel. I had to complain before the flat screen TV was replaced. You may think that we chose the bad rooms. But we stayed in a two-bedroom suite on 4th floor - the last floor. So we stayed in the best rooms. Yet if you go into the lobby and step outside, the hotel is one of the most beautiful in Nigeria. To be fair to the management though, I was told they were having a problems with the state government (the owner) at the time of our visit.
