The hotel is situated in a quiet area of the Government Reservation Area of Akure, the Ondo State capital. It's proximity to the Government house, courts and other government offices makes it an ideal habitation for one who has business to conduct with the State agencies.
There are also notable eateries like, Mr. Biggs, Captain Cook, etc., within walking distance of the hotel in the event that you crave an alternate meal from the one served in the hotel.

Most major banks and automatic teller machines are situated nearby.

Guests of the hotel which boasts of three bars, one inside and two outside with accompanying grills, who do not particularly like loud noises should remember to specifically request for a room which is not close to the bar area as it can be loud until the early hours of the morning.

In all, the rooms are clean, though the bathroom in the room I stayed needed to be refitted with a functioning shower and plugs for the bath tub and sink. The hot water worked perfectly.

Florish Hotel is also reasonably priced.
