Wonderful camp site especially when you're alone!
On a stopover heading north. A taste of the poorer side of Namibia. We had a better reception from the owners dogs who slept by and protected our camp all night. Unfortunately they were malnourished and appreciative of any food we could give them.
Quiet and peaceful, and all facilities in good working order.
Excellent place to stay and camp staff very friendly and helpful, has a nice volleyball net, which was sponsored by Kraatz Marine, Walvis Bay. Nice interesting history. This place you must visit when touring Namibia
Awesome terrain for 4x4 adventure and a great get away for some peaceful time with birds singing on the backgroung
Beautiful & peaceful spot, very reasonably priced
I stayed 2 nights in the camping area. They have nice campsites under acacia trees next to swakop riverbed. Extremely neat toilets and showers in communal ablution blocks. It's heaven for bird sightings! Very sympathetic staff but I got the feeling that the lady never got out of the reception because she couldn't give us clear explanations about hiking trails and 4x4. You have to pay an extra fee for driving on the 4x4 trails and don't get a map of the routes (90NAD + 25NAD pp). We did the one passing through the Python Valley which was quite fun. We saw some mountain zebras on the way. The swimming pool water wasn't clear at all and surface was also dirty. It is a bit surprising considering the amount of employees they have. It was a pleasant stay though. Perfect stopover for those traveling around this area.
