They hosted a conferance for the Journalism award, and Novacambios Bureau de change was available on site to assist with all the guest to exchange the foreign currencies with the best rates available, stunning services

Why can't we do half as well in Europe where service is a disgrace and food and accommodation questionable in the main. So well done to all the staff in all the eating venues at The Strand Hotel. My suggestion-go to Europe and teach them how you do it on the edge of Africa. Oh yes by the way I'm European and spend, more or less, an equal amount of time in Southern Africa and Europe so am able to make a constructive comparison.

This place is great for both business and pleasure. There is a hotel feel to it when you are moving in-between the bedroom corridors, but it changes into a lively place downstairs with its various connected restaurants.

The fact that the hotel is also a brewer of Craft Beer helps a great deal; and the meat is wonderful

The farmhouse deli has an excellent buffet breakfast. Staff are friendly and welcoming and service is top notch.

Try their sourdough bread which is just amazing.

Would redommend as the locatuon is very central and close to everything. Great views to boot.

Just last week we had breakfast at the strand hotel and we realised that our babys bottles need to be washed before we continue with our journey to Etosha. The service at the strand hotel was so excellent they helped us and we used their kitchen to clean up our babies bottles.and also they were very friendly and human u hardly get that anymore .Yes!
I will come back again and yes! I would recommend the strand hotel. Thank you so much.

Good rooms and excellent breakfast. Great sea views too. However, the reception is understaffed and getting anything done at the reception is very slow.

It is a beautiful setting and It is such a shame that the service is so bad. The table wasn't set, we asked for it to be set but only got table mats during dinner time, we had to again ask for cutlery and wait for while while our food was getting cold
The restaurant staff were very obvious in their efforts to get rid of us early.
Compare to servive the same time last year when they opened it is disappointing to say the least. The culture of service is non- existing.

This is a wonderful place. It is very with trendy restaurants and shopping facilities. After living in the desert it is nice to come back to the civilization. I think this is the best place in the town.

Asked to see the Restaurant Manager to raise a complaint. They bring you the supervisor and everybody else except the manager. They promised the moon and the stars but give you a very sarcastic cold shoulder! Second time this has happend to us in person!
