Unbelivable travel back in time - how these massive trees ended in Namibia
Is a nice spot to stop at but can't say is great. The guides are knowledgeable on why this rocky wood came about, but after 10 minutes you are done. Is a good place to stop and rest after long drives and maybe picnic but. not much else.
Awesome is all can say. Highly recommend for anyone doing a Damaraland tour
It's a decent attraction with a fairly expensive price for 30 mins tour.
Friendly staff. Road from Khorixas not too bad.
This is not a forest, it is some logs on the floor. It is interesting but not worth either the 1h detour or the approx. $10 entrance fee unless you're really into rocks/wood/wood that has turned into rocks.
A really amazing work of nature
It was a very interesting visit
Very interesting visit. One hour visit well spent. Attention to the false sites!
Extraordinary sight, well worth a visit
Good to see welwitschia mirabilis and tree stumps that turned to stone
Interesting. A few large trees are visible.
The entire region is beautiful, so the Painted Forest is no exception, but if you HAVE seen painted forests before (of the admittedly few in the world), this isn't terribly exciting—painted forests are technically fascinating, but not all that spellbinding in person.
The place is unique and the tour increases the astonishment. Be exstremely careful with those poison bushes, they are dangerous. A liitle tip will make your tour really personal!
