we went to the lodge to ask for help because of a flat tire. a white man came to us very unfriendly to tell us to basically go to nowheresince there is nothing around. At the same time he asked if we can not read, because there is a sign that they don't allow day visitors. He didn't care about our problem.

Beautiful serene spot between the Atlantic Ocean on the one side and the lagoon of Walvis Bay on the other.
Great for a quite and peaceful breakaway.

We loved the luxury feeling of feeling isolated from the world, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, but still enjoyed all luxuries a lodge could offer!

We have been offered a room with a very strong bad odor which might come from the oil Riggs around. There is only a sand road where we got stuck but got help from the hotel stuff and some lovely people who spent their holiday in Swakopmund. We upgraded our room to the tower suite which is very nice with a 360 grade view. There are limited time for electricity. I think the neighborhood is quite depressing with a huge sea salt fabric which destroys the environment. The Lodge is very overpriced according to my opinion. Probably recommended to honeymooners who needs a lot of privacy.
